02 sensor code after sensor was replaced

Hi-

I just bought a 95.5 Tacoma 2.7l w/ 122,000 mi. I had the head gasket blow after 2 weeks and had it replaced. It also fried the front 02 sensor. A couple of weeks after the HG repair, I had the sensor replaced. The mechanic found that the previous owner had the other sensor welded to the pipe so I had both the pipe and sensor replaced with OEM parts.

A couple of days later, the CEL comes on again with these codes:

P0130
P0133

My mechanic checked the sensor itself and it is functioning within range. Before he starts the full diagnostic procedure, ( I'm running out of money), is there anything anybody can think of to check?

Thanks

as for the o2 sensor voltage, verify you are looking for toyota's numbers
for your year and engine year and run the engine test pattern. the voltages
are pretty tight between sensors that work and sensors that are not the correct one

then in this order, check these things

check wiring harness between ecu and sensor

check air induction system

check fuel pressure

check injector injection

replace 02 sensor again

if all the above checks out, replace ecu

Thanks! Do you know what my year and engine year voltage ( range?) is for the sensor or can you tell me where I can find that info. for my mechanic? I'm trying to do some of the research for him.

no I don't have that info, sorry

someone here might have it. you may check the part
number and see if it is shared with other toyota's.

it is likely the same sensor used in a number of vehicles.
dealer will be able to look it up

I know 2000's should be:

warm up engine

run at 2500 rpm for 90 seconds

then idle. measure voltage. it should alternate between

less than 0.35 volts and more than 0.55 volts. good

if it alternates, and the lower voltage is higher than .35, no good
if it alternates, and the high voltage is lower than .55 it is no good

it needs to make a voltage swing past the .35 low and .55 high

now this is on a 2000 with no air injection and no egr, your sensor specification
may be different
