02 4runner mods
Hey all, I'm new here and had a couple questions about my 02 SR5 4runner.
I've been reading about the LED mods for the dash and gauge cluster. Seems pretty easy, as I've taken mine apart. I wanted to modify my gauge cluster, but using an OEM cluster from another Toyota (newer Corolla or Camry). Would this be possible to just plug-n-play? or would it be the same difficulty (if even possible) using a Civic cluster vs a Camry for example?
Also, I wanted to add under-dash blue LED's. Where can I get this kit from? I've seen a few online with the strips but those look way too bright. I want to wire it to where they turn on:
-when the door opens, OR
-when I turn the headlights on.
Ideas?
Also, is it possible to add a towing package to my 2wd SR5? I think I've seen the wiring in the back but I'm not sure. If so, about how much does it cost, and is it a DIY project?
Thanks in advance for your help! This thing is my baby and now that I own it (still owe about 5k on the credit card) I want to do a couple things to make it my own.
Thanks!
Jeremy

You should be able to find a tow hitch at the junk yard for pretty cheap, installation is simple provided the wiring is available.
Locate hitch, fasten with (8) bolts and you're done.
