00 4runner Limited 4x4 Lift Kits???
 Is there a lift kit that I can put on a 2000 Toyota 4runner Limited 4x4 that will allow me to fit 35"-38" tires underneath the wheel wells, not rub, and won't cause me huge problems down the road? I heard that you could not do this due to the Auto Lock Differential.

Got me beat, I have a 2.5" lift and 32 x 11.50s that rub alot. I need new wheels to stop that problem, and a shaving of the upper control arms wouldn't hurt. But 35's are a tough issue, and with the locker it complicates things even more, you gota get some higher powers in on this one, calling Mike, and Steve, the suspension gods.

Hey welcome to the board...you have a few issues, the ADD hubs are not your problem due to the fact that I carry a conversion kit to change it to manual. Your first problem is...well no one makes a bolt on kit of that size...I figure you need atleast 5"-6" of suspension lift, or a 3" suspension lift and one heck of a body lift. Another problem...the rear end...not mine, but your rigs rear end...it will not take that amount of lift...remember is is coil sprung. Ready? Alright here is how you CAN do it. It is called a solid axle swap...very costly!!! Basicly you end up with a solid axle up front and the rear is converted to leafs. My personal opinion, go with Sway A Ways up front, Downeys and Bilsteins in the back, throw on some 285/75/R16's and if you have some funds left over, do the manual hub conversion or some lockers! Feel free to ask anything else!

If you use a 2.5" suspension lift and a 3" body lift you will be able to fit 35's. You will have to do some trimming though. 35's will only fit with a wheel no wider than 8". I am running M/T baja claws. Mickey Thompsons run small, so that is also a factor contributing to the fitment of "35's". To be honest with you, 5.5-6.5" of lift is not enough. As a rule of thumb, you need 5-6" of lift to fit 33X12.50's on a 10" wide rim, and 9" of lift to fit 35's on a 10" wide rim. I'm running 6.5" of lift in the rear and 5.5 in the front. I'm getting rid of the claws and putting on 305/70-16 (33X12.50) MT/R's mounted on a 16 X 10 wheel. This is a more practical setup with 6" of lift...no rubbing and a wider stance for stability.
The problem with our third gen's is the rear setup. The procomp 4" and trailmaster 6" suspension lifts can be modified to fit our front, but the rear of our runners is the limiting factor. Our rears only have 4" of straight downtravel.
In case you were wondering what I am running...
3" performance products tacoma body lift
suspension:
front: downey/bilstein coilover combo set at 2.5" of lift
rear: downey HD coils and 1.5" cornbred spacers with doetch-tech shocks.
