They are 4runner seats out of a 91 SR5. I love the adjustablity of them, they are 10 times better than what it had before.

Well thanks, My interior is pretty ragged actually. The door panels look like crap but I am going to make some aluminum ones sooner or later. Already have the aluminum, just need the time.

I get crap about it being an auto all the time, but believe it or not, I really wanted it that way. My 4runner is off-road only and I don't care what anyone else says I prefer to wheel an auto, if you have ever had to stop and get started again on a rock or big incline then you know what I mean. If I had 3 feet it might be a different story.

Got the rear seat cover installed last night, it was a much bigger pain to get on, and I am less happy with it. I had to remove the head rest, they where stopping it from pulling tight and looking good, Also by putting this on I have lost the ablity to flip the seats down because the cover is one piece. Good news is that this cover is way big for my seat, so I am thinking about cutting it and having the wife do a little sewing project for me.

Yanked the cruise control off the truck also. You don't need cruise control on a trail truck anyways and I need the realestate to mount my fuse box. Had planned on mocking up a bracket but silly me left the fuse block in my office at work, so I went to bed early instead.

after

the back cover looks good.....serves it's purpose. maybe just cut some small "X"'s where the headrests get stabbed through and where the seat releases are and call it good.

I've contemplated yanking the cruise control out of Joe's......kinda shoddy set-up on his anyway......anything special electrically speaking?

Nothing special at all, I just unplugged the wiring harness from the CC box, wrapped them in electrical tape and labeled them in case I ever want to use it again. Left all the wiring under the hood, just zip tied it out of sight and out of mind.

i tried to revive my cruise control twice. the po had it un-hooked, so twice i tried to get it to work, and twice it gave me he11. so i just took it all out. i now have the compressor for my shocks there.

rob- is your rig strictly off-road, or is it street legal, or do you trailer it... ?

also, for the back seat head-rests, you could put in grommets. they're fairly cheap for something like a pack of 10 and the installation tools. something like:

Ian, Great idea on the gromets! I'll look into getting some of those, craft store I guess?

yeah I trailer it everywhere for now. My Tacoma does a decent job pulling it, but I do plan on getting it tagged and inspected soon just for short trips to the local offroad park.

yeah, the craft stores should have it. hardware stores might, too, back by the tarps. the kits are easy to use and come in different sizes. i used a kit once, and the final product looks pro

oh yeah, i remember that picture...

Last nights project was to get the fuse box mounted, there was not enough flat area to put it in a way that I was happy with so I decided to make a bracket.

Cardboard (beer box) template

Used 16 gauge sheet metal and cut out the shape with my grinder and cut off wheel

Used a small torch to heat it up and make it easier to bend

A little primer and paint

Finally the finished product.

Sorry Mark, I did get the diff drop from my bud this evening, but it looks like my plans to have it installed have been foiled, no way I will have answers for you tomorrow morning. Only good news is that I am pretty sure now that it I have put my eyes on it that it will work. The kit is a freebie from a friend, it is a Toyotec kit for a Tacoma, worst case I will need some different bolts but I think it is right. Give me another 24 hours (call it Tuesday morning) and I will get before and after pics up....promise this time, I just got tied up doing other things today and didn't get to it....as much as I wanted to. Later bud.
