Thanks Mauzer.
Downey torsion bars got delivered today, I picked them up from a fellow Yotatech member for a good price. One less thing I will need for the Blazeland kit. Been keeping my eye out for someone parting out a T100 so I can snag the axle shafts. Hopefully I can round up most of the odd ball things I need before hand to make the kit cheaper.
Gonna go ahead & install the Torsion bars ahead of time.

Thanks for the link, I was planning on looking for a how to write up this evening. I did find that my bars are stamped R & L on the ends for Right & left.

Thanks for looking in, I need some reassurance that it not as bad as I think. I guess that I should have gone about it differently. Cut in the wrong place. I would like to have bobed it. Current plan is to finish it out as is & then I'll consider going back and bobing it down the road. I will surely buy an air saw before I do.

Some pics of my Downey 26mm torsion bars. The guy I bought them from was nice enough to give me all of his orginal parts that he didn't need so that gave me the chance to clean up and paint all of the parts before I started taking things apart. The bars themselves where in great shape, I barely even needed to wipe them down. I was glad to find them & happy to get them for the price I did since I have always been a huge fan of Downey products & they are no longer in business. I got these installed yesterday with some help from YT member Mauzer, Thanks bud! I didn't take any after pics, I'll try to get some today.

Fed-Ex dropped off a new detent / drop down cable Friday. Those that remember my transmission problem where tracked down to a broken cable end and Todds cousin helped me "rig" it to work with a bunch of zip ties. It has worked well enough since but I have been trying to keep an eye out for a new cable, The are discontinued at Toyota & pretty hard to find since most of these trucks came with manual transmissions. Well I got lucky & picked one up for $40 off of Yotatech.
New cable.
How my current cable is rigged.

Pic with new torsion bars. Not much different in looks, but it is a little higher in the front. I basically have them adjusted as low as they can go. At first I set them in the middle of the adjustment range and it was WAY high in the front.
I also beat this pinch weld back, this is where it was rubbing the worst & eating up my inner fender liners.
Trimmed my lower bump stops. Not sure this was I good idea but I wsa bored. Need to order some low pro stops.
I got my Tacoma brake booster & master cylinder cleaned up and ready to be installed.

Dang, Rob!!!! I'm impressed with the progress! Nice catch on the Downey Bars and other parts,............it looks good! I tried to get some from Jim(the Owner of Downey) the other day.... he said he'd look for me, but that those, along with the headers, other big items, were the first to go! lol....
LOOKS GREAT, ROB! Take Care,
Mark

Glad ya got those Downey's dialed in, and thanks again for all the help on my rig. That master cylinder looks awesome compared to when I saw it on Saturday, nice work.

Thanks Mark! I was real happy to pick up those T-bars since I knew that they are no longer avaliable. So Jim (from Downey) has some things laying around still? I would love to get my hands on some of there upper ball joints, could you see if he has anymore?
