Yeah, very happy with the price & turn around time, now I just need to put it back on the truck. I was going to do it last night but I ended up spending several hours cleaning my shop instead, That place was a mess! I am assamed to say how many Bud Light cans / boxes I had lying around.

I have been busy as hell at work lately & haven't had much time to do anything on the 4runner. Been working on mounting my CB & Gauges into the stereo slot. This is by no means finished, pretty rough still & nothing is hooked up, just mounted. I have quite a bit of time in fabbing up everything. It is made of 3/32" thick aluminim plate. The gauges are mechanical Summit Racing brand oil pressure & water temp & the CB is a Cobra 25LTD Clasic. Hopefully I will be able to get it all wired up before this weekend so that I can get the CB tuned. I plan on painting the aluminum flat black before the final assembly. I know that some of you are going to ask where the stereo is going to go, but don't wory I have that covered too.

The write up is coming....I just haven't gotten that far yet......I did a little poking around with my voltmeter tonight & found every wire that I need to wire it all up in the radio harness.
Thanks, I think it will look much better when it is finished. Just painted the aluminum plate ultra flat black.
Bed time for me, alarm goes off in 6 hours

Still been really busy at work. I stayed up late friday night & worked on wiring up the electrical portion of my gauges & CB. Very simple, the wiring is only for the lights in the gauges & is a 2 wire hook up, black to ground & red to the head light switch so that they come on with your other interior lights. I still have not hooked the sending units to the motor for the gauges to actually work, but they look cool at night. I painted the aluminum plate mount I made ultra flat black, looks pretty good but still not finished.
I also wired up a Sun-pro mini tach. I poppped out the AC vent & used a 1/4"-20 bolt& nut with a small aluminium plate from underneath. Again, very simple install, I ran the green wire to the negative side of the ignition coil, red to ignition switch hot, yellow to the head light switch & black to ground. I had to notch out a small piece of my dash board for the wire. Looks OK, not super proud of it, but it works & cost me zero dollars so I am going to consider it a win.
I'll have some more pics soon enough....and another update regarding the wheeling trip from last weekend

mines an automatic, shifts when it wants too. Hahaha. I was cussing that auto last weekend though. Had nothing but transmission problem & stuff breaking at the park I hit on Saturday. The hills out there are so steep it is like climbing a wall & seems to me that all of the ATF would run towards the tail shaft & the pick-up was sucking dry. I would loose all trans function untill I rolled back to level ground. I have been searching & have found nothing on this issue.

Well maybe my diagnosis is wrong, but for what ever reason the trans worked perfectly on flat ground & moderate inclines, but when I would attemp & really sttep or tall hill, I would loose the trans completly 3/4 of the way up & end up rolling back down. Not sure if it is bcause of the fluid running to the back of the pan or if it was just jumping out of gear maybe. Either way, it was an overall faluire.

I really want to keep it an auto, Much easier to manage on the trails.
While I was out wheeling this weekend I had a few other little mishaps. Rolling back down a hill that I failed to climb, I backed into a dirt embankment & bent the crap out of my rear bumper brackets. The bumper is fine, just the brackets, they where pretty cheesy really & it was just a matter of time before this happened. The bumper wrapped all the way under the truck & I had to remove it because it kept dragging the ground. Also started hearing a bunch of clunking from the front end & realized that my idler arm was finished. You can't tell from the pics but it is destroyed on both ends. Pics for proof!

I am going to ditch this bumper all together & fab one from a piece of square tubing.......eventually. The idler arm is not too hard to replace & Napa has one for $60, not so bad. I fully expect that as I wheel this rig that it is going to break, just have to find the weak link & fix it.
