Well went by the shop to grab my air hose, he wasn't there but the truck must be in the shop now. As it wasn't parked outside.

somehow.....I missed this.....well lately, I've missed alot of things....so I will apologize to you too along with my family.

hope your surgery goes well, that stuff made me nervous just looking at it when we were doing the springs. where is that?? W-B Spring???....you don't have to answer that here, you could just tell me....just kinda looks familiar and I thought you said that was where you had something else done.

would be nice if you were truly done by tomorrow......I don't think you would want to punish your truck again at Rausch and still expect it to drive home....although I can't imagine it disintegrated THAT much in a year.....but it is possible, I guess.

off Fri-sat-sun....gonna try to make some progress around here

It's not W-B spring. But yes they were the ones who did my leaf spring mounts. T tell you the truth I think it was the fact I put the bump stops back in action and the extra stress on the stops is what did that. But that gash in the side was there for a while now. Wasn't worried about it since the frame is boxed, but with the bump stops getting hit more now when off-road well.......

See the RC forum's wanted section and you'll know who's doing it. The shop technically doesn't have a name that I know of anyway. But it's real close to me. About 5 or so minutes away. I can almost walk there. 10 years ago I would have been able to walk there without issues. lol.

Frame is a little worse then we thought. Gonna have him replace the rails from the round crossmember back with 2x4x1/8". We might move the shackle hangers a tad forward to improve the shackle angle as well.

Bed off.

Old rear crossmember/tire carrier which is now trash.

And the rest of the mess.

HOLY CRAPOLI! I'm so sorry, Brandon, ... but thank goodness you weren't at the trails and it snapped on you, causing you injury or something ,.....or worse, ya know? I know, that's not very helpful, lol.... but I'm just glad it didn't snap on you in the freeway driving situations, etc.!

I'm updating right now...... crap happens, INDEED! Oh well, what can I do, right?

1/2''drive one I have goes to only like 120

was at Advance Auto yesterday and asked about a LOANER and they said only up to 120.

saw one at Harbor Freight yesterday for $80 (3/4'' drive). thought of buying it, using it, and returning it....but then got guilt pangs over doing that sorta thing

Yeah, but it looks like this thing is all bu gonna be completely back halfed. Hopefully it doesn't cost much more if any then the $400 he mentioned.

Yeah mine's definitely not a 3/4 drive, it's the half inch drive from HF. And that sounds like something I would do.

ETA should be tomorrow afternoon. Just got off the phone with him. Passenger side shock mount and bump stop complete. Both sides are now boxed in but he does have to shore up one of the shackle mounts (I knew I shoulda just ordered new ones from wabbit. ) I have now about a 1/2 left on the compression stroke on the passenger shock. But he's not gonna get to the drivers shock mount so I think I am just gonna shim the bump stop for now to limit the up travel some. 1/2" or so isn't gonna hurt me. He's still got to finish weld some things and put the rear body mounts back on and get the bed back on.

I did finally ask about a cost as the original estimate was $400. And he's said hes got alot more time into it then originally thought but he's gonna stick to that estimate. Now that's a stand up guy. He basically said I helped you out and you help me out and I said that's no problem I've been documenting it from the start just too bad I couldn't get some more in between photos, but I do have those good start photos as well. I'll try to get down there to get some more with the bed still off. I am sure that's the last thing to go on anyway.
