Take a bolt out and let me know if the nut falls off. Jerry I don't recommend you do it though. lol. Chefs truck is 100% rust free, but then again his luck is like mine.

I don't need a pic I know what it looks like. lol.

Hey, if I understand you right, ...... the answer to your question(at least regarding my LVSV), "Yes", the nuts on the back side of the bracket that the bolts go into ARE FIXED/WELDED. The bolts come out and the fixed nuts stay there.

EDIT: At least, that's what it looks like to me, for sure(that they're welded). The bolts are the "tapered" type..... split on the ends, like many chassis and interior bolts are? The Fixed Nut portion is literally sloping, I would assume 'due to the weld'.

wrong bracket Jerry. If that's the one I think it is the photo you took is on the passenger side, the bracket I am talking about is on the drivers side of the pumpkin.

That the sucker you're talking about, Brandon? I have dealt with these in 20 different places on this rig, lol.... and they're always fixed. Could be diff with this one... I am letting WD40 soak in and I'll try it in a bit, if you still want me to pull one. k?

This is before I cleaned it up for ya....

Looks to me like the bolt has a pretty decent Lock Washer on the outside, just under the bolt head, ....then that tapered fixed nut on the inside of the bracket.

holy cow, um yeah I think, nice closeup. I was gonna say WTH are you leaking but since you mentioned WD40..... Don't bust that bolt. It breaks really really easy.

EDIT, yeah as long as there is another "hidden" bolt under that then yes that's the bracket. 47933 in the above photo.

Hey Brandon,

Can you drill it out, then just use a new bolt and nut on the thing?(just leave the fixed one there, but put a nut on top of it and screw a new bolt into it...?)

That's what I am thinking and yes jerry that's the right one. And to my surprise that does look tacked in the photo. I didn't think I was gonna be able to tell. But there is so much mud/rust on my truck it's not even funny. lol.
