Ok done, for now. The bracket is a little bent but not much to worry about I wouldn't thin. It's tricky to get this tight without that sleeve in there. But that's why I chose to go lockwasher and double nut. Till I get a chance to find some nylocks. Should be fine though. If not smack me. lol. Anyway onto the pics.
3/4" holes drilled for new hardware. Yes grade 8. I think the factory bolts are Grade 5?
Test fit, notice how close. About a finger's width away from the gas tank. Goo thing nothing here moves in relation to one another.
Took some finagling to get the bushing to line up to the holes. Jacking the axle up to compress the spring a little worked as well as my prybar to help lengthen the spring enough to get the bolt started. Had to hammer the bolt in a little as it was tight. Poly bushings will go in alot easier.
From the other side of the hanger you can see the bracket pinched a little. Don't think that's too much of an issue right now either. Worst case scenario I can think of right now is it squeaking a little.
All done and on the ground. For now.

good.
as that (those) was the major hurdle, glad to see the hopefully more difficult of the 2 is out of the way.
on to the other side???
you get that stuff done on both sides and switching these springs oughta go MUCH better.
pics of bump-stops?

them's purdy little tires.
oh BTW, your tires have been disgraced by having a polka-dot umbrella resting on them. removed several levels of manliness from them by doing that. sorry.

Jerry, I am gonna have to cut this outta here when I get down there. The sleeve isn't breaking away from the bushing like the other side. Which means the new hardware wont go in due to the sleeve being in there. If I cut it out here I won't be able to get it down there. I think what's going on on this side is that the outer sleeve is spinning in the spring. Remember the sleeve that I had issues with taking out in the new springs? Those. But I am not sure. I am not gonna attempt to take it out here and replace it with the new bushings which would be possible if I am right, but I am not gonna do all that here as I probably have pissed of you know who already.
