Hi Bikeric, if Wallytoo is not interested in the radio surround, I am looking for one for my 84 4runner.
Thanks.

My message was actually for you. So sorry for clogging up Wally’s thread here. I’m new active here and learning the ropes. I only found my “better” surround. It’s even got the removable cubby so it can be used with single or double DIN’s. The last picture is just to show why I’m not needing it. I’m running an FJ Cruiser 6 disc unit that required a bigger hole to cut and didn’t dare want to molest this one.

Bikeric, thanks for the pics.
Since i am totally new to 4runners, I would still need an ashtray and radio to complete this area of my runner?
And my should be black in color and not tan/brown?
Do you have a price in mind and maybe flat rate shipping to Cali?

been on a couple more "day" trips in 4runner #1. still getting solid gas mileage. yesterday's trip, of 350 miles, returned 23 mpg - best i've recorded in this one, but #2 does get higher mpg.

pics from the trip a few weeks ago, which included running the kancamagus. of course it was raining, which has been our summer so far.

and some pics from yesterday's "day" trip (the 350+ mile one). part of it went through dixville notch, and then into western maine. finally had a day where it wasn't always raining/cloudy, although we drove through some heavy rain a few times..

Too bad about the rain but I would be over the moon with that gas mileage.
What size tires are you running on the SR5 wheels?

the tires shown on it are 30x9.5x15. i also run a set of 32x11.5x15 on another set of the alloys (although those are offset 8 instead of the offset 15 shown above). 4runner #2 (white) runs 235/75r15 summer tires, too, on the oem chrome wheels. the secret to decent mileage is to do a lot of driving at 50 to 60 mph, with limited 65+ driving.

and it rained a lot here earlier today - somewhere around 1.5 to 2 inches - to go along with the 10 to 15 inches we've got since june 27.

edit: #2 just returned 24.3 mpg for the tank. i use 4runner #2 as the summer DD, and #1 as the winter DD. end up with about 8 to 12K miles per 4runner per year.

@Bikeric did you have Softopper create those side windows as such or did you do it? Looks good.
