blown head gasket

well the 22RE blew a head gasket tonight my oil is a milkshake. I can't catch a break right? I guess it couldn't have come a better time since I have almost everything for the 4.3 swap.

got the 22re out today with some help from my buddies. 4.3 is waiting at the machine shop ready. only problem is that summit backordered my pressure plate. they told me it would ship out the day that I received my other parts but i got a postcard today that told me it would not get it till the 29th kinda upset about that but i guess that gives me 2 weeks to get everything set up even though i don't need it. hopefully going to continue working on it into the night and replace the outer tie rod ends and do the zuk mod.

haha thanks my buddy took some pics with his iphone and thats the way he sent them in the email. picking up my 4.3 tomorrow and i'll have some pictures of that up as well. i'm going to take the pressure washer to the bottom of the bed with some degreaser and clean that up and apply some undercoating in the near future. i'm also gonna undercoat the engine bay.

welcome to yotatech but i think there is a better place to ask that question and/or you should search this site. there is plenty of info on here to beef up your 3.slow this is my build up thread, i would be more than happy to answer some questions about my truck and anything that i have done do it. butttttt to answer your question to the best of my ability i'm sure you would gain some performance since your ECU would be chipped and your A/F ratio would change across the map. i just don't know how much you would actually gain since your motor is stock.

we finally finished getting everything on except the sway bar drop brackets because i need to get new sway bar bushings. i ended up getting new ball joints because i figured i would need them down the line and mine were pretty shot. heres some pics.
pictures of the brackets for the diff drop. everything is really dirty from my leaky 22re
view of the lift from the front
view from the side
now for some photos of the now 4.6L

let me know what you guys think. i'm pretty stoked about the progress that i have been making. my buddy has had a big part in this and he has helped do everything. wouldn't be anywhere near this w/o him.

I have really been slacking lately. Been working a lot and also going to school full time. The 4.3 is in and matted to the W56C. I would have hoped to be driving my truck by now but have had a lot of BS thrown into everything. Here are some pics

We had to take the front wheels off to have enough room to get the motor high enough and with enough angle to get it in.

View of the clearance in the front with the 31x10.50's. I want to keep the front valence on there.

4.3 is in there

Found my Dads center caps from his 82. Gonna see if they will work with my rims.
