I've been busy!
Ok...I've got my upper link welded to the bushings....I'm waiting on the tubing to come back from the threading guy. It should be here tomorrow. I want to try and get the upper link done and finished tomorrow night.
After I got that to a point where I couldn't continue(due to the threaded end) I started wire wheeling the rear axle and the diff so I could paint it and get it finished.
Once that was done I reinstalled the rear 3rd and painted it. I shot a good coat of rustolem and then some gloss black.
I've decided that I don't want to use an electric motor for the e-locker. I want a cable locker and I like to do build things on my own(aka cheap) I have a 2x6x1 piece of aluminum coming to make the base for my cable locker. I found a bolt(toyota genuine ) that is the exact same size that I need to run as the "actuator"....I promise, it'll work
I'm going on vacation this Friday and I won't be back until next Sunday . You can find my happy ass soaking up the rays in N. Myrtle Beach!

I'M BACK!......the porsche has primer on it's ass. It isn't my project...it's in my way 
I have some pieces awaiting my "hot glue gun" now. I just have to get my ass up there and get to work.

BACK TO THE SHOP!
Well, after a much needed vacation, I am back at it. Bud dropped off the piece to my upper link that had to be threaded yesterday. Today I had enough time to use the hot glue gun an put it in its place. I haven't had time to build the gussets for it yet but, I have a good idea of what I want it to look like.
I figured out that my lower links will be around 45-48 long! I also determined that I can lower my rig another 1 or 2 inches.

just returned home from Harlan,KY (PBB 2nd annual camp and crawl) I had a good time other than seeing my buddy go backwards down creampuff at speed with no breaks and a shattered t-case....and then he nearly ran over his dad(actually he did run him over but the truck just happened to clear him:eek:

one of the guys who came up in our crew lost control(brakes locked up) and drove his dads '01 CTD into a house on the way there...after everything was cleared up they unloaded his rig off the trailer(truck was total loss..buckled the frame big time) and drove it to Harlan....THAT IS DEDICATION!

What ya know about that?
I got some new tubing for my rear lower links...MAN SIZE!
This isn't just any tube though...It was 2" solid that was BORED out!
2" x 0.50" wall!
here is my other tubing for the front links 1 3/4"x 3/8" wall

I have started designing my front suspension. I have to take my rear lower links to the guy to get them threaded. I need to get some tubing so I can finish the rear up.
I have been considering using a 4.3 Vortec and a beef'd 700r4 into clocked dual t-cases. What y'all think?

Here are my reasons
1. The 4.3 is a durable engine.
2. The parts are readily available at most any parts house.
3. The parts are cheaper
4. Hop-up parts are cheaper
5. The 700R can be built to withstand some serious power
6. Automatic would help in the rocks
7. R151F's are hard to come by and expensive when you do
Disadvantages
1. I won't be "all toyota" like I wanted to
2. I'll be a "toylet"
3. 3.4L->R151F->23spline case->23spline 4.7= sick
