SHE HAS MOVED! I finally got around to moving my truck from the corner onto the lift! I mounted 2 of the tires on wheels and bolted them up to the rear axle and it will roll as long as the front is supported.
Here she sits on the lift now
I also assembled a dummy set of cases to mate to my R151F.
I also went ahead and put the new bearing on my MC 23spline input gear
I am hoping to go get the engine(again) tomorrow or Thursday. Now starts the daunting task of installing the 3.4 and trans/cases.

MORE PROGRESS! First I removed the old engine mounts(7MGTE) and ground off the slag from it and the old shock hoops. Next I removed the cab from the frame. I did this b/c it'll make the engine, trans and cases swap go easier. I AM GOING TOMORROW TO GET MY 3.4L!
Once I had the cab and frame seperated I pulled the frame to the front of the shop and set it up on jackstands
H1's make it so easy to remove a tire from the wheel
As soon as the weather clears up some I'm going to spray the bottom of my cab with SIMS(like Line-x but better)

thanks, you must have some good resources with these engines. When can i give ya a call about those engines? I haven't been on here in a while, been studying and practicing to get my Class A license.

I haven't checked on this thread in a while, but dang SAS'dToy, the rig is looking great. I'm sure that you had originally thought that you would be done by now, but as long as you do it the way that you want to and don't compromise just to get it rolling, then that's all that matters.
Again, great looking rig and awesome progress from a bare frame, 2 axels and an idea. :bigclap: :bigclap:

I got an engine today! 68K miles...2000 Model Tacoma V-6 3400. I also picked up a R150F bellhousing so I can mate my R151f to it.
BLING! R151F Attached to dual cases with a clocked adapter!
And here they are in all their glory! 3.4L, R151F, Dual clocked cases. I already found them a home too!

I don't really understand why you guys are flippin' out over the d-shafts...the only difference in my drivetrain and most of your is I added a dual cases. My rear d-shaft is only 4-5" shorter than a stock x-cab truck. My front is probably 7" or so longer than stock..just depends on how far I push it forward. I am going to try to start making my t-case mounts tonight
