New addition
A new addition to the family came today... 83 4x4 pickup.

It's going to donate the suspension to the 4runner. After that the plan is to pull the bed, shorten the frame, make a flatbed, drop in a 350 converted to LPG, and sit it on some one tons with 38s or 40s. I'll start a new build thread for that.

Progress
So the axle swap has been postponed due to lack of space and equipment right now. The easier route which only took an hour was to swap the front diff with another. I also got in some new Warn hubs today, and I ordered a Spartan locker for the rear. My next plan is to get some new tires put on which will possibly be next week and go ahead and get a clutch on the way.
We have a wheeling trip planned for Feb. 18 so I will be up and going for it but I doubt the locker will ge there in time for me to install it. However looking ahead we are going to Uwharrie, NC in April. If I can convince myself to work I can have everything done for that trip, except for the axle swap but I may change my mind. We'll see how all of this plays out. As of now I plane to have a locker, new tires, and a clutch.
And judging from past experience I can have a whole engine out in about an hour and a half by myself ready for building so we will see what my motivation level is. I'll be doing good if I can find the time to take it to get tires installed.
Also, if anybody is in SC and has been looking at clubs, a few friends and I have started one. Piedmont4x4 is our name. We are based in Greenville but we have members from all over the state. Basic membership is buying our t-shirt and a sticker which you can do on our new website Piedmont4x4.com
Our Uwharrie, NC trip is scheduled for April 14. We'll be there all weekend. If anybody is close by and wants to come hang out let me know. PM me or shoot me an e-mail, robbiepatterson@bellsouth.net
