^^^ Yea, i'm still trying to go back and fix the broken image links...
Original post found on page 51
Made some cup holders from 4" PVC couplings. Things wobble a bit, think I'll make new ones from 3" pipe and make it a bit deeper.

Correct Ian, but in a 1stGen 4Runner, the front passenger seat will not slide forward without hitting the cup holders in that position. Trust me, I've tried to fit cupholders there first before using my map pockets on the doors.
Thanks for posting on my dead thread....haha.

I like my map pocket PVC holders, they fit a variety of drink sizes, and I have NEVER had a drink come out of the holder while wheeling/bouncing.
Ian & Robb
I watched lots of videos, and ultimately decided to use the below method. It is so easy to splice synthetic rope. Some other methods use a needle and thread to lock the splice. I still need to add a rock guard/sheath, but that just slides over the rope. A friend of mine and myself bought a bunch of rope on Fleabay for $1.08 a foot. The line I have is 130', I'm not sure if that much line will fit on my drum, maybe I make a couple rope shackles with a few feet of the line.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f123...trucks-260137/ here is an explanation of how I did it but I have since used a metal strap thing to hold it in place now but they are out of a 2000 and newer passat or jetta.

Just checking in man, gotta love those red interiors! I'm totally impressed what a beast this thing is turning into! Freaking awesome. Now you're going to have to spend some time trekking out to hammers next year or something. Then again, maybe it would be better just to do a nice 90 degree trip out here, no humidity of course depending on where we go... Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself, but definitely hope to meet you one day!

Thanks RBX!"
Do you have a link to the seller on eBay that you got the rope from? About to finally install my winch and thinking about putting synthetic line on. There are so many stinking options that it would be nice to find one that is good and not break the wallet..

I don't have a website, my buddy said they had an ebay store, but they have better deals if you call.

R150 with 30% OD 5th Gear mod
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyot...gear-swap.html
^^^ this is what I have been looking for, change your 5th Gear out of the R150 for 30% more overdrive using a Dyna 5th gear from an R452.
I run 5:29s in my axles and I have 35" MTRs, this is too low a gear for highway cruising at 75mph, rpms are around 3k. this is going to be worse with the lower revving diesel. The alternative would be to swap in some 4:56 or 4:30 gears which will cost waaaay more then the 5th gear mod, and my 3rds only have a few thousand miles on them.
The above is just a place holder. Nothing new otherwise, still gathering $$$ and paperwork for the halfcut import.

After a couple thousand miles I figured it was time to drain the catch-can I recently installed.
This nasty goo (minus the debris floating) came out of the catch-can, it's about 3 tablespoons.
And to think that the automobile industry thinks this is a good idea to put through your intake manifold.
