I've been amassing parts for another round of...'how many days and nights can i work on my rig in a row before i don't even want to look at it again'.
It's been cold here, and i have to do some spring cleaning so i have room to take some pics.
On the flip side, I have a deadline to meet (family vacation) once i start the suspension overhaul.

Oh man, those will be some rewarding pics of that trip, for more than one reason! Family first,..... but enjoying all ur hard work/watching it benefit u all, ...thats pretty nice too! Lol ...
And actually, there are other reasons that I am so anxious and excited to see this on film, so to speak! Hahaha... but I'll not go into that at the moment. He he

Btw, might need a quick tip or two as I start the OMEmu and 1.5" greasable shackles Hoping for not toooooo much rake.... and might need LPSV relocation and extend the brake lines?

If you need answers pm me, I don't check yotatech everyday.
You can extend the rear brake line by adding a flexible front or rear, can't recall which.
Probably have to relocate lspv, I have a proportion valve now.

Shop sent me an email...
Flanges are welded onto the axle to start the Full-Float spindle bolt on (no pics yet)
I have made the decision to do the SAS myself, using the 4Wheel Underground 3-Link front kit i purchased. This may take a bit longer then dropping it off at the shop, but what i save in labor costs, I'll make up for in satisfaction I did it myself...give or take some hiccups.
I will not be doing the swap until i get my taxes finished(promised the wifey)
I'll be sure to revive this thread with some pics.

I still need to modify the axle to accept the locker. And the shop stil has to regear the locker with 5:29s. I'm still a few weeks out from dropping it in, so I'll start the SAS in the meantime... In the next few weeks

Spring Surgery
Rear Full Float using Ruff Stuff Specialties axle flanges build process. Ready to clean the axle up before I modify it for the elocker and shock tabs:
Flange shot, I had Black Hat Fabrications weld these on so I know they are STRAIGHT. It is worth my $$ to have someone with the proper tools make sure my rig drives straight.
Axle shaft seal is still in, this is an issue because my new axle shafts (still TBD) my not have a section of the axle designed for a seal in this location. Worse case scenario when building a Toyota FF is to seal the drive flange cap. So everytime you pop the cap to the flange you will get some gear oil.
Front Axle Prep:
Old media blasted Hub Locks:
Freshly Powder Coated, and fuzzy pic(the centers are RED actually):

What you see there is the axle housing I was lucky enough to find in a local yard already disconnected from the 86 truck it lived under. So I have some one to thank for their hard work of getting it free with no powertools. East Coast rust sucks, I only had to undo one shock bolt and jack the truck to remove the axle....lucky. And Lucky they even had an 80's truck at all.
