EGR removed 3VZe no idle, dies after a few seconds
Thanks for the support gentlemen
I now think my fuel pressure gauge is goofy, and not actually posting 70psi.
Yes the PAIR and EGR systems are deleted, removed, eliminated... very simple, quick mod to clean up the engine bay.
Because i was victorious, i ordered my pipe, and silicon couplers for the ISR mod.
No real difference in ride characteristics, but i blame that on the soon to be evicted A/T sucking what little life the 3weezee has.
One thing i did notice was that the idle was a bit lower at 5500-RPM, but idled very smooth for being so low. An adjustment of the idle screw cured that, and then she got Seafoamed....alot.
I discover a bunch of oil in my plenum, and not sure why. I have a new PCV in-place. However, when i did the valve cover gaskets, the metal splash shield on the passenger side fell out, so i left it out.
Could that shield be responsible for the oil in the plenum?
I have another valve cover to install, but i have to remove the plenum for that....don't want to if i don't have to.
This is section is just for search results:
EGR remove, EGR removal, EGR elimination, EGR delete
PAIR remove, PAIR removal, PAIR elimination, PAIR delete
Truck will not idle, dies after a few seconds once started. Replace the bolt that holds the EGR valve bracket on th e front of the plenum, it creates a huge vacuum leak.

I didn't think about it when i did the valve cover gaskets, so i guess i will clean the plenum and do th gaskets while i wait for my intake stuff to arrive.
This is actually the reason i get the blue smoke on start up, it has been greatly reduced since i removed the breather tube that feeds the intake.

No blue smoke on start up, replaced the passenger valve cover, one without a broken oil shield inside.
Then I started her up, let her idle a bit and figured I'd give her a good few revs before took her out for a shake down, then the throttle sticks wide open.
Turn off the truck and figure out that the accelerator cable has delaminated from the plastic around the cable and is bunching up in the sheath. Nice to have found that gem while sitting in my driveway! Ran to the local yard and grabbed a newer better version from a 95 for ten smackers.
Tore into the r150f and ordered my adapter from inchworm while it's on sale!
That is all
