The hard part is design.
I went thru many design ideas before i settled on this one. The tire swing out should be a bit future proof in my opinion. The tire will get a new home on the carrier, then fit the jerrycan(s) holder, Hi-Lift across the too and relocate the license plate.
This application is using a lite gauge steel, i figure if it bends i can bend it back, and if it fatigues i can gusset it more, or replace it with a new heavier design. The bumper is almost ready to be fitted to the truck so i can take final measurements of the swing pivot placement.
Barter:
I need more welding practice, so if you guys buy the steel(supplies), I'll weld up whatever you like. in exchange you will do something to my rig as payment/trade, of course we would need to come to a mutual agreement on what was fair. I am serious about this part because i need more stuff done to my rig then i have time for, i have a journal i carry with me with ideas and lists of mods...it is endless.
thanks for the kind words.

^^^Battery relocation! The fuel tank and tranny should be out of the way for you.
The batteries are getting mounted in a steel box just after and above the diff. I'm going to try to get some of that stuff fabbed up this weekend.

Yep, i usually have a million ideas i want to do, but most need to be done in a specific order....Body lift...easier to swap transmission, run battery cable...then fuel tank lift...then drivetrain... so yeah, the spare neede relocation, plus there is a good amount of usable space under the rig now that i added two inches.
should be picking up my Jerrycan this weekend, so i can make a mount for it.
I will pm you to get some details ironed out.

here is the proposed idea:
I'll add some cross support, and would like to hinge it so i can pivot it down for service/battery change, then swing it up to bolt into place easier.

so i deleted the egr and pair system yesterday, since all my other plans were foiled.
anyhow, anyone know why i would have abnormally high fuel pressure? she usually sits around 40-50psi and now reads 70-80psi. i have cracked the fuel line open to release pressure, but it jumps back upon ignition.
i have double checked and rechecked all my vacuum lines, and blocked off the throttle body ports, all solid connections.
i guess next is to test the fuel regulator switch.
thanks

^^^yes
i was gong to get a 5spd from crazy ray, but no dice. then i was going to do the ISR mod, wrong size couplings....fail.
just tested the VSV, and it checks out at 38ohms, FSM says 30-50ohms...so that is good.

She still won't start.
The symptoms seem like a vacuum leak, but i'll be damned if i can find a leak. Tonight i will plug every non essential vac line and go from there...
Plan B:
I'm going to hook it all back up again and go from there.
In other news....where the hell are all the r150f transmissions? I scoure craigslists everyday. Junkyards want more then the trans is worth and they don't negotiate...
rant over..
