Talking

I've decided to stop blowing money on the truck , unless it for maintenance purpose only.

Speaking of that, I'll have to change my oil here shortly. Maybe next week. running on 10 -30. Going use 5w-30 until spring.

just made my way through your thread and i gotta say what you have done looks great. mine is pretty similar but im running 33x12.5 no lift on the stock wheels. i could hardly drive it home from the tire shop with the rub it got on the pinch weld. ive grinded that all out now and can daily it no problem but sometimes i get rub on my idler pretty bad. and since i have the stock wheels they are way to thin for the tires and makes them round and is going to cause un even wear witch i dont want. i want to do 9 or 10 inch wheels with enough backspacing to pull them out so i dont hit the idler but then im afraid of running into isues turning and it hitting the quarter panel. did you cut your fenders just to be safe or did they already hit? im also looking into the bj spacer to just need a tiny bit of lift to it to to help with me wanting to run wider wheels with a bit of offset or backspaceing

The front bumper and bottom valence had to be cut and the pinch weld had to be pounded as we'll.
The front fender was not rubbing , but I decided to cut about and 1" off just to be safe when it's at full flex. The 15x10 rims are nice.

sorry for that all jumbled into one paragraph was on my phone. yeah i haven't had a valence on mine. but i did some pretty heavy trimming. certain entrances or driveways if there steep i have to take them slow while turning in because they still rub but i don't think i could grind much more away. when i was reading through your thread when you were talking about the wheels you were running i believe it was 4" backspacing to? I have only had the tires for about a month and i want to do something quick here so they don't start getting the uneven wear, i just didn't want to go get the wheels then cause more rub issues. Also how do you like the bj spacers, did it effect how it drives at all?

No problem. It's the forum. No need for perfect.
But anywho . Yes the rims are about 4" back space. They bj spacer are oaky. Haven't had any issue with it or and rear up cv boot.
Only issue was that time when they bj bolt came loose after a small wheeling trip. Replace the bolt
A and had them tight for good. They also help clear the tire from the pinch weld section.
If you have another set of tires. I would drive those until you have the front clear for the 33's.
Look on craigslist and junkyard for some 15x 8 or 10.
I heard some love running it on the 15x8, so when air down, the bead won't pop.

I would recommend BJ spacers and an 8" wide rim with 3.75 backspacing. Ball joint spacers are great if you don't crank up the torsion bars. My ball joint spacers didn't really effect the ride quality at all, just because I didn't mess with my torsion bars. Just make sure you get it aligned after installing them.

If you do go the bj spacer route, I know of a good place to get them.

Lightbulb Miles @18,802. New headlights installed.

Starting yesterday, we been getting rain ,which had clear most of the main roads, now its just wet, but i love it, take rain any day over snow.

started my morning by meeting a seller on craiglist, purchase a dip net for the upcoming salmon season .$70 bucks. these thing go for over $100 in the summer.

PLANS for this day, change out the headlights, passengers low beam went out ,so i decided to get new lights. i love the white look instead of that yuck hello look.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022499533/
i actually didn't have to take the whole front grill off, loosened the edges and i was able to swap the lights out, easy .

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022558844/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022493583/
easy enough.

well after the lights was finish, it was maybe 35 degree, warm enough , so i detailed the inside a bit, vacuum and clean the dust from the dash board.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022489663/

after all that good stuff, flexed her a bit. full flex to the point that i was able to move the ZUK coils a bit.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022188075/
im considering something more fix instead of these coils now, maybe new leaf pack /and or new shackles to go with em this summer , will see.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12022190695/
then i shoveled the roof… ohh were. got a head shot.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/12023019936/

5pm CAME AND more rain and some snow came back. Got dark enough, i had to check out the new lights. much better and whiter.

looks much better in person .

all in all, good day. due to the dry/wet roads. i took the load off the truck. took out the sand bags and weight .. until the thick snow' comes back.\
Have a good one everyone !

Talking Rigid industries led repositioned !!

Wow!!!
Repositioned my led 's to the Fabtech light bar. Simple drill, & longer bolts and couples of new washer did the trick!
Not dark yet, but wow they look some much better than being down on the valence bumper .

Now I'll see that moose much better at night.. Or zombies.

(Btw... Got to trouble shoot my Hella's light, there not coming on . Think the switch went out or some'N. )

: a little black spray paint will cover up the bolts.(waiting till warmer)

Thanks !! So far they're looking great. Does seem to shine better than the old ones.

Hella lights back up and running. Had to replace one of the Fuse holder, the green wire. Hella's wiring come with the glass fuse, replaced it with a spade fuse 30amp. And also swap the switch out for a lighted one.

Planning to add some auxiliary back up lights sometime soon. Since I tow the trailer here and there. The extra lights will come in handy.
