Talking Dually d2- RIGID INDUSTRIES LED LIGHTS INSTALLED

So after replacing the rusted old muffler, today i purchase some new lights.

I want to start with Mods that well be more of performance rather than cosmetic looks.

these little lights are sweet....well tested during daylight so far.

they're the Dually D2. 2600 lumens.

just mounted them on the bottom bumper rails.
Installation was easy, basic plug n play and fishing wires around..
although i took about three hours, taking my sweet time, and a quick lunch break.

$360 for the pairs.

you guy have any good recommendation for replacing the Regular headlights, would like something brighter, pure white ..about 5000k

pics for now, maybe a video soon,, if Alaska gets dark!

next mod coming in the mail is an aftermarket horn. BEEEEEP

Update: had free time agian ,& decided to do the free air box mod. Removed the sleeve ,drilled a few holes and installed a K&N.
much more better throttle response now.

I really really would love to lift the truck , but at the moment I'm still learning on what to get and where, brands and such.
Anyone point me into the right direction?

I have a handy brother who can help me install a full kit,

Budget would about $1k on a full lift kit.

Looking to lift no more than 3-4"

No crazy rock climbing or anything. Just something lift enough for some bigger tire for some offroad hunting ,mud & potholes that may encounter and get stuck. Small creeks, river that may have to cross.
The truck an automatic, so I don't plan to put any to big tires. 33 shall be fine ey ?

Nice looking truck

Just an idea for the lift (what I would do) BJ spacers in the front, either Zuk mod or 3" to 4" lift leaves in the rear with new shocks, this will fit 33's. Then source some factory 4.88 gears from a junk yard (door code G144). Also wouldn't hurt to add an aux tranny cooler.

Hope this helps.

Well not much this week to do in the truck.
Still waiting for the new horns to come in .

Tested the lights yesterday & they were really nice and Brigten the streets. Could be position a bit higher , but oh we'll for now.

I have a small leak coming form the front of the driver side, not sure what it is but ill get pictures up. I'm thinking it may be the transmission fluid. Not oil for sure.
Hmmm.

Opinions on some of these lifts kits ...?

Dont lift it, get some 33X10.50s. Use a BFH to pound out some of the pinch welds. Or if you want 12.50s buy some wheel spacers.
488 gears would be great if you can find them.
Buy good shocks, bilstien or foxs. Low pro poly bump stops.
This will improve you ride and you will get a small lift from the tires.

Check out this dudes build

supra afm and ingitor is the way to go!

Hmmm. Will think about that.

Those 488 gears, can I just buy aftermarket or better parting it off another vehicle ?

And how about procomp shocks ?

Procomps are ok, good if your on a budget.

Billys 5125 or 5150s are the way to go.
Check low range offroad, or marlin crawler.
Foxs are rad but spendy
http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?m...sal&model=Stem Top - Eyelet&t=shocks&m=truck&p=19&ref=filter

You will have to measure for the billys and the foxs.

Thanks for the info josh !!!!

Yesterday, I took off the sway bar, drives Much smoother now off road and over potholes/ bump.

Still getting a few for it . And may just leave it off.
Taken some pics of that leak, will get some photos up later next week tho.

As far as getting new shocks & lifting it, my budget is up to $1k.

I used to have a 4 in rancho lift on a 94 and it started to cause issues with all of my bushings and the carrier bearing in the back.

For 33s there is not much of a need.

Removing the sways is a good thing, I really liked it when I pulled mine.

You should post your door code on here so we can see what gears you have in the truck from the factory.

Sorry about the fox link.

Hmm true.. Maybe 33 are not for me. I don't really plan on doing anything crazy. Just maybe some of road mud ya know.

If I really wanted to. I can just up it to 32 instead

I ride my motorycle all spring/summer up here& the truck is only use for winter and summer camps and etc.

I'm actually headed out for a weekend ride . But yes, I'll get those photos up.

Cheers .!!

There it is. Tell me what I have .

Also changed out my plugs yesterday. The Bosch were toast. Threw in so new NGK, she felt a bit better on the throttle response-. Also thinking about doing a coolant flush and brake fluid flush.

Nice Lil tune up man!

I don't think there's anything over there that could leak besides the tranny lines to the radiator. I could be wrong, specially if its a manual. But I don't think ps is on that side, and there shouldn't be anything else. Unless mayyybe the charcoal can?

That's awesome that you got 4.88s from the factory. I thought only 4Runners got them.
