well last night i battled with the down pipe for a few hours and after stripping out the studs that connect to the down pipe, going through two sets of gaskets, and not being able to get a seal on the exhaust i'm thoroughly pissed off. Looks like i'm going the cheapo header from pacesetter and calling it good. Just sucks that the down pipe from walker exhaust was 140 and now that's all pissed away. I'll order the header later after i fight with it some more.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! does this crap ever end? Honesty, I never had this much trouble with ANY of the others I had, and NONE of them were as clean, full of new things as the one I have now... IT MUST BE BIG BROTHER, sabotaging all older parts so that we'll have to buy GM's!!!! ...... Jk, ....
So, what's the plan, Mouse?
PS> How's the wife? Hope you guys are doing GREAT!

should have just swapped the interior and engine wiring harness out of this one into the big truck since at the time it didnt run anyways and the big truck had more sentimental value to you...

every body's good chef thanks. plans for this little truck are modest at best. just get it running right and sipping gas daily as the dd. maybe looking good in the long run as well.
pbiker11 the swap was considered but with all things in front of me it wouldn't happen due to circumstances. I needed a driver asap and the motor work on the 2wd was doable within a short amount of time. the swap although tempting was waay to tedious to take on myself and beyond my abilities. And to put it all back together it still would have cost a butt ton of money to do it right. Trust me i wanted to put the mouse back in action but it wasn't in the cards for me. The while loosing my ride pain has subsided and yeah it sucks but i'm looking at it as i'm getting something i wanted for a long time. A 1984 sfa unmolested rig for a good price to start over so one door closes and another opens.

well, painted the fender and rims today to try to get this little truck looking close to decent. Not bad for rattle can huh. Here's some pics for ya.
Next on the list is a front bumper and valance. Gonna do the brakes next week to just make sure they're up to speed.

thanks chef. this truck needs some tlc but it is getting great gas mileage so far and has some giddyup when it comes to driving. I'm used to a 4x4 with big tires and a lot of weight compared to this little light weight truck it makes it feel peppy.

well i got off of work tonight and stopped by the gas station to fill the little truck up. Walked in and handed the clerk 40 bucks and said i have yet t fill this truck up so the 40 should cover it but i might need change. He's like cool and i walk out to fill er up. Well wouldn't ya know it the gas tank took 27 dollars and about ten gallons. I'm like what check it again and yeah guess it's full. I topped it off with lucas fuel injector cleaner as that's what i do when driving new vehicles to make darn sure the fuel system is clean and the injectors are good. Seems as though this little truck has a 12 or so gallon fuel tank huh and i drove around from work and running errands all last week and today along with the weekend and only burnt 3/4 of a tank of gas? I'm going to tune the motor up with fresh plugs, wires rotor cap air filter the works and see what kind of mileage i'll get but so far i'm impressed. And i have a lead foot in this thing as i'm used to driving a 4x4 that has a four banger powering it so this feels fast to me. Figured i'd share but it's kinda nice not having to fill up mid week. I got 22 mpg on the old mightymouse and thought that was good but this thing sips gas and hauls ass!
