Lol he drove a integra.. Vw golf aint far off haha! kidding mike. Though a tdi would be boring as hell to drive.

Arent you going for a mustang slow liter? That will be fun and worth the bad mpg over a vw. Its smiles per gallon not miles lol

Just as long as you keep the runner then who cares what u drive second :p

Haha Actually, technically speaking. It gets the same gas mileage as my truck, but has horsepower.

not that late 60s. 67 coupe. original 289/c4. absolutely no rot on it what so ever. original san jose car. the only thing not original on it is the tachometer, license plates, exhaust and the engine. Its an original C code car. and the engine is a C code 289. but the engine is from a different 67. It needs absolutely nothing, runs & drives.

Once I pick it up on thursday, Im gonna drive it to autozone. buy all new fluids and drain everything. I also might do a 4bb intake/carb swap. ( comes with a brand new edelbrock intake so all i'd need is the carb and filter setup ) The car is an original Wimbleton white color code. but it still has the original paint job on it, and its trashed. ( previous owner did all the necessary body work to get it straight. no bondo on it at all, but its a white/primer color right now ) I'm gonna slap a nice Pebble beige color on it once i get a GT valance for it. Other than that. I'll use it to cruise around in since summer is coming and once the 4Runner gets new tires, and the lift. then this thing will get a 5 speed swap, 302 heads, exhaust work, 4.10s, LSD, and suspension work. I'll have a clean machine for sure.

NICE! Loved working on/owning my Mustang's! Nice color choice.... I had that Midnight Metallic Blue on my 67 GTA FB.... with the white stripes... Was sick! lol. Wow, sounds like a fun project! And I'm assuming you're grabbing her for a steal, eh? I've been always looking for another project in a Chevelle, Stang, Mercury Comet or Fairlane, Camaro... the lot, any of them at the right price... But I DO still wanna find an LX 5.0 as well.... FUN, light lil bastage! lol.

Best wishes, hope it's a LOT of fun!

Honestly, I love 87-93 mustangs, but smog is a straight pain in the ass here... My buddy had to sell his CLEAN 95 gt sapphire blue convertible mustang for 3 grand because it couldn't pass smog. Some guy in reno came and snatched it up right when he put it on craigslist. It was easily a 5-6k car with only 110k miles on it.

I'll be happier with a older mustang that i can do whatever i want to. Besides, the classics get way more attention, they're cheap, and reliable to boot. Itll be nice having a pavement pounder for once. I haven't been in a "sports car" since the age of 16-17. itll be nice to have my own saddle to ride! haha

Buddy of mine has a 5.7 Saleen he's having trouble smogging right now! NO WAY he'll sell it... probably go non-op for a while.. But DAYUM, that thing is fast(95? Can't remember, but it's that body style before the roundy one, lol.

Wow, exciting, man... can't wait for pics to be up of her! Had a couple 289K model motors/cars... VERY fast, for what they were. Pretty decent suspension on those Hi-po models, as well. One stang was a Hertz Rentaracer(black and gold)..... I'LL NEVER forgive myself for selling it! But back then, wasn't worth 100K+$ lol.

haha yeah. The 67 im picking up today runs great. everything is mechanically perfect. Im gonna drain all the fluids and refill with new fluids. The mustang by itself isn't pretty... Everyone that loves classics can see past all of that though my brother's 65 stang was a straight pile. but after a little TLC and some cash. its a nice street rod.
