UPDATE so today i was coming home from work and see a deer about 100ft ahead crossing the road. first thought is there are more, and to slow down. before i know it a large doe comes out. i slam the brakes and crank it right which did nothing with the brakes locked. the dead hit the front driver side, the body spun around and smashed my fender, door and rear quarter. the corner light plastic broke off as well but im glad i reinforced that bumper because it could of taken out a lot more. i felt bad because it was still alive but i took care of it.
It's head hit driver side headlight went through radiator
Then went under and wrapped up the driver side control arm busted the oil pan ripped driver suspension off
Flipped out the driver side smashing driver door
Landed on my trunk taking out the lid and driver tail light
Oh yea I bought that car that morning and had spent all day changing fluids wires plugs tires wheels and breaks ha ha ha that's my luck

It was a Saturday in the fall of 95 just after dark and was totally my fault I was only 20 should have been more couscous
Ps the deer was gone a couple hrs later my brother and I returned to the seen with a trailer to get my wreck I just bought and found that someone had taken the deer but left guts and unborn babies yuck next to my new pile of sCRAP
You know that deer was no good after the corolla mangled it

Scored an insane deal last night/today. I bought a 99 Chevy 4.8 v8, 5 speed tranny ecu and harness for 200 bucks. Had 180k miles abd I was able to hear it run today. The guy I bought it from is building a huge 4 door gmc with 1 ton axles. This will be going in my blue 89.

i was looking for a brake to bend my front hanger i built to convert my IFS to a solid axle. instead, i was given the OK to use the one at work. it is a very dangerous tool but it did the job.
i am doing a similar setup as this low clearance design.
the usual setup is this
which is square tubing to drop the leafs about 2in. the only other debacle i have now is to either put the front rear leaf spring bushings through the frame like stock, or weld on a hanger below the frame.

Hey Buddy!
I really like the Idea of the Low Profile hanger. Looks like it would be easy to make especially if you have access to a Brake.
As far at as the rear goes. I would go through the frame with the Tube kit. I am going to order the Jig to use on Richies frame, so we all can use the JIG.

Thats a Sky Hanger, if that helps for you to recreat one. The thing about the low clearance hanger is it it lacks the support the bar gives in the normal hanger. The front of the frame is pretty weak, and you can see mine has been plated. You might want to do the same, especially if you plan on putting a v8 in there.

Go through the frame with shackle bolt. If not it will sit pretty tall and you may have pinion angle problems.

also, that plate piece is just the front right? that was something i wanted to do to install my bumper but i needed 2in so i used some square tubing instead.

I think I would want it to thru the frame, just to help keep it lower. I like the looks of lifted trucks but if it is a daily driver and having to jump up into it all of the time, that does get troublesome in my opinion. I like looks on everyone elses truck, just not mine. When I was younger, you couldn't have one high enough for me.

do it. did you get the picture message? i made one but i can make more.
ive done a lot of searching around for anything toyota related on a plasma/laser cutter. so far ive found a few things and one thing i just cut today was this
DSCN1746.jpg?t=1168473566
i dont really plan on making a business out of it, but i can make more. if you dont know what this is, this bolts to the back of your t case, and with alittle more metal and fabrication skills, you can remove your factory tcase crossmember and gain some inches of clearence. people even move the tail side higher for more, but this in turn creates a greater angle on the drive shafts.
