Picked up some free stuff from my garage. A fullsize Chevy brushguard and a dodge Dakota class III receiver. I also grabbed two of the four t100 SR5 wheels I'm going to pick up.
Free stuff I had !
This is the goal.

These wheels came off of a Toyota T100 4x4. They seem to fit good and stick out a little farther than the stock steel wheels. My plan is to sand and paint each one with wheel enamel and clearcoat them

I already love that wheel better and the tire isn't even on yet. I wonder if there's a difference even between the t100 and pickup sr5 wheel. You'd think they wouldn't since the wheel isn't the thing giving the t100 it's wider stance. Regardless, I'm kinda wondering how you're gonna get the tow hitch receiver on? Is it just missing some brackets that isn't pictured?
Nice to see you updating frequently. I love seein old toyotas get a second chance.

The sr5 alloys are not a different offset between the t100 and truck/4runner. They are a different offset(slightly) and width than the stock steelies. But I will agree that they look much better on your truck. Since you're gonna paint them, I suggest using a hyper silver or a gunmetal. And if you don't like it, go black or charcoal. Personally, I love the look of the stock silver. Plus, if you scratch them, the silver won't show through.

I don't have any additional picture right now but here is where I stand. I have the new (to me) motor out and tore down to nstall the timing chain. It has the head off of it right now. I have the old motor tore down to swap over the brand new head and intakes off of it. The new reman head will go on with an oversized thickness gasket on top of the die grinder resurfaced deck. Then a new timing chain with dual metal guides will be installed on that. Then the everything will be reassembled.

Well the other motor I get although it has compression has a decent amount of rod and main bearing play. So I am going to need to purchase or borrow a micrometer and see if I can salvage the crank and just put bearings into it. Will keep everyone posted

Well multiple bearings were spun. Going to get a brand new crankshaft, main and rod bearings, thrust washers and rings. Also going to get the flywheel resurfaced and the block hot tanked and I'm going to "dingle ball hone" the cylinder walls
also the used 22re I bought is being sold, don't worry I'm letting them know for rebuild only.

I am, and I doubt others unsubscribed either. Take your time. If most people are like me, I usually don't know what to say, except just awe at the progress lol. Plus it makes for a very unclogged build thread. Build threads that have on and on conversations can be hard to follow sometimes.
