modification is easy. just a small bit of grinding and some tapped holes. the hard part is getting the holes perpendicular. oh, and some built-up welds in the corners.

response time, from the bench test, is about a second or two. not terrible. and you shouldn't need to activate it on the fly. flip it on before you start the hill, turn it off on the flat trail.

It looks so simple however I have the slightest clue on how to weld or grind. Looks good though!

weld: it's just filling in those corners, so find someone local. shouldn't cost you too much

grind: it's easy, just loud. get a decent grinder from the hardware store, get a face shield, and don't wear open-toed shoes. gloves will help, too.

Nice work dude, bet you will be happy to use it at RC.

Mark, I am an idiot, and clearly should not be on the interwebs, obvious since my comment above. I cannot tell time clearly.

I know the dash in my 92 has lots of blank realestate. And i don't mean blanks(knock-outs) just blank space. I'd dremel out a spot like it did for my dash switches to make them look factory, i think i added two extra spots next to the single switch on the drivers left...just my .02$

Ian,
I heard/read that the elocker has a speed limit, meaning Toyota warns against driving it over a certain speed and has a built in safety circuit to disable it. The speed I hear is 5mph, any truth to that?
