Hey 4ever.....WAS it powerful until you put lift and tires and and and.... lol. Jk, but I'm just surprised... not really heard any complaints about the 3.4. Oh well..... I've lost myself now, lol.

Nice job, Ian! Dang, that looks like New Years DAY, at my buddy's house.... nvm, forget it, lol. I've seen worse sludge though, lol.

Hahaha.. yeah, it was disgusting. I'll leave out the details, other than, the guy had a 914 porsch with a 289 in it, a lil higher than normal... but needless to say, we were STILL SHOCKED to see that he'd managed, FOR SOME REASON, to crawl under it and, well, let's just say "bathe himself in proverbial tranny oil sludge" previously known as Jagermeister! lol. We were calling for him, to move his car, saying "where is he?????"... and suddenly we hear, "HELP, I'M STUCK UNDER HERE!" hahahahaha!

Honestly the 3.4L V6 was decently powerful before I added everything on, but it still struggled a little when towing stuff. Now that I have everything added on it is still decently powerful but the added weight, wind resistance, etc. definitely takes a toll on the power and acceleration.

yay! 6 pages! so you know what that means?

pictures!!!

after many attempts to fill the tranny, i tried something different. i drilled 2 holes in an oil bottle, filled it with 80w-90, put a tube in one hole and forced air into the other. the oil had nowhere to go but up the tube into the xmission:

(everyone needs awesome tunes while working on their rig)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ianrab/5172964818/
aaand then i noticed some not-gold fluid...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ianrab/5172350645/
coolant! dripping from the xmission!

so i followed it up to the engine, where i found the source: one of the heater hoses had somehow slid up, allowing just enough coolant to seep out and drip

after laying across the engine (no, really, it was the only way to get to it), it's all buttoned up

also stopped by the steel supply place. they don't have anything thinner than .085", so i'm going to change my design a bit to be lighter. but for ~$18 for 20 feet! awesome

thanky!

it hasn't been driven in the past two winters. and when it does, car wash every other week. this is the first winter it'll actually be driven 100 miles a day over that crap. no, they salt the roads here so much, you'd swear there was still snow.
