no leaks after 20 minutes of ~45 mph. brakes nice and smooth. i might bleed them later, but they're fine for now. the pedal never touches the floor.

aaand after my morning commute, and letting the rig sit on some white concrete for a few hours, no oil. and no more oil on the oil pump.

brandon won $10, mark and rb won $5 each, and i lost a bit of oil. hehe

Alright, .... IN-N-OUT IT IS! hahahaha. Seriously, ...congratz, Ian... I knew you'd get it quick, but it's disconcerting, I know....especially "after JUST DOING TONS OF WORK!" >>> Another portion of the details which I know of too well! hahaha.

Enjoy!

On my list as well.... I mean, Volvo's are one thing....but ROCKS? YEP, they make very interesting/hard to fix body damage! lol. It'll look nice with sliders and the tires you have in the future(it'll look nice without em, lol... You know what I mean).

Nice work, Ian...glad you're 'OIL SLANG'N FREE' ! LOL.

i know what you mean. i think i'll wait 'till after the holidays to get any sliders or do any more mods. november/december can be so busy for me, and i don't want yet another un-finished project lying around

Just a side note... regarding the mileage. I've owned 5 early 22re toys and one Carb'd.... They all were 87 or older(including this one)..... NONE of them got mileage like that, even one that was tuned and such by TLC.... YET, I see guys on here saying 19-21 CITY? lol. Ok, maybe, but what I DO NOTICE, definitely seems different...... The later model 22RE's, like yours, Ian, ....they seem to get much better mileage, at least 2-3 MPG's on average. I'm assuming it's just 'technological advancements' that Toyota made as they went, ya know? Not sure WHAT exactly helped the most....... but I would love to improve my mileage, that's for sure, lol.

normal for me is around 21-22, mixed highway and parkway. that 23.8 only happened on 100% highway. also, i was doing about 70-ish (speed limit), so that was revving at 3 grand for a good 2.5 hours. i'm sure i could have gotten over 24 if i was going a bit slower.

ugh. cold season here. at least it's nice outside. and no word yet on if my parts shipped. smh
