yup. that circuit x2. like i said, the hardest part was figuring out what color led's to get, haha.
if you could measure the distance from your controller to where you want the led's, that would be helpful. we could also get together on a weekend and hook these things up

parts should be coming in this week, circuit by the weekend.
this past weekend, i went down to the richmond race. great fun. got a couple of souvenirs and lots of good pics. i'll post a few if i get the chance, but i drove the truck down and back. handled beautifully.
next up in mods is possibly a new battery tray, new afm holder, trailer wiring, and more trailer work.

that reminds me, i have a few grand prix pics to post up....that was a blast.
Why are you building a new battery tray? Oh, wait it's because you did the battery intake thingy swap?

since the fan won't be spun in reverse direction, the positive line will always be positive, if the fan is spinning or not. if the wind is spinning the fan, there is no load, so there shouldn't be any current. even if the wind is spinning the fan and the controller has the fan turned on, there is load, so it should be able to detect the current

i can tell you that driving the truck, the fan spins enough to light my leds, i,m a little fuzzy on the concept, it is similar to the diode idea you first sent me, but why is this a better idea?

because when you added the led, the led itself was the load in an otherwise open circuit. with load comes current flow, hence the lighting of the led. with the new circuit, there is no load on the fan circuit if there is no power to the fan, so (theoretically) there should be no current flow. all of the indication circuit is separate from the fan circuit

sure thing.
i emailed the guy about the hi-lift, haven't heard back. he's only about 15 minutes out of my way to get to school, so i might have a hi-lift this afternoon
and the last "part" to come in is the wiring. i'm using 18awg servo wire, so it's already in a group of 3 and color-coded. that was cheap, too ($10 for 50 feet, shipped)

Hahahaha! Meh, .... I can't hate, I'm glad for him, but WOW, it's like he has an alertometer on his Smart Phone to keep him updated every 20 minutes through CL! lol. I know, .....you're messin..... I'm just serious on the fact that I WISH I could find some of these deals in L.A.(people here are HIGH if they think they'll get what they're asking, most often! lol).
