i forgot to order new bearings/seals, and they won't be in until late next week. also, i have too much to do on the trailer, which i really want to have done before the trip. i don't have much down-time, what with father's day and school and all...
i'll have plenty more time this year, and after i graduate (december), i'll have even more time. there's always next year...

Probably a great choice or priorities, Ian,... You'll be CUSH for the trip, rather than 'creeping a lil further'.. Sorry though, I know you wanted to get that sussed! Grr! lol. Either way, can't wait to see how shweeeeeeeet that Trailer is when you're done. GREAT work!

ssss...aaaaaahhhhhh... feels good to be back on my thread.
so here's the deal:
- air locker before rausch creek next year
- detroit locker in the rear (whenever, if it happens)
- trailer- need to finish so i can use the darn thing!
- new tires, probably 31's... maybe 265's if i can find rims
- if i get tires, i might re-gear. 4.56 will get me closest to stock with 31's
- center console. it's driving me crazy
- i'd love a yakima rack... but not likely in the near future
- a welder might help with some of the stuff i want to do, like sliders and bumpers
- maybe a low-profile t-case cross member
- new clutch and brake pads/shoes
anyway, after wheeling last weekend, i know what the truck is capable of. there's very little i actually need to do to make it green-blue trail worthy

I'll admit, you did better than I thought when I saw the tires you were wearing. goes to show that tires are only 1 ingredient to successful off-roading.
good job.

just got an email, my fan controller is in the mail. (took them long enough, but i'm expecting great quality). so it looks like this weekend i should be able to button a few things up in preparation for the e-fan (eg, cut the shroud, trim wires, attach a few other things)
i'll update as i go, and i'll be sure to post pics

i want to get a few things done before the winter, such as the e-fan and possibly the locker, but we'll see how that goes. the next thing i'm probably going to do is replacing the brakes all around, followed by the clutch. my weekends fill up rather quickly
i also want to get that trailer done. >sigh< so much to do...

(random pic from my trip to the beach. got to ride in it... great fun)
and crossed over 180k
got some stuff done this weekend! 'bout time.
started off by parking in a bad part of town. it makes getting the wheels off easier... haha. no, i was checking my brakes, as they were getting soft
brakes were fine, just needed to adjust some stuff. also re-aligned my aal
...can and a half of brakleen later:
and then today i finally finished up my auxiliary fuse box system. i still might add an over-ride switch in the cab, but it's clean, organized, and operational as-is, so i like it
fuse box, shocks hooked up
and the relay for the fuse box. it's only on when the key is at least in the "acc" position
with a diode to eliminate kick-back

DUDE, COME DO MY ELECTRONIC BOX THINGYMADOERHICKYJOBBER! lol. Seriously, SICK! That looks GREAT, Man! Can't wait to do SOMETHING, obviously not as TOIGHT as that, but nonetheless I'll take my inspiration from HERE and do it RIGHT! lol. Wanna get my lights and alarm to come and etc., all hooked up to something similar.
Great work, and glad you didn't need a big brake job!
