Full floating dually rear axle

Full floating dually rear axle
I have a 1987 Toyota Sunrader with the full floating dually rear axle. I have owned this RV for a year and I am servicing every possible aspect of my rig. I am at the axle phase and I am aware (convinced by reading threads, I have not actually deconstructed the axle) that each rear axle hub has two bearings that require grease. This seems to be a unique feature given that most heavy duty full floaters are lubricated from the differential. In fact, when I have contacted service centers for a repacking, they all insist that the bearings are lubed from the diff. I even showed one shop excerpts from the service manual (attached).
I was hoping to gain more knowledge about these axles. For instance,
1. What is the make and model number for the axles (who made them?)
2. In what years did this axle exist on the toyota trucks? (are they still in use?)
3. What other vehicles use this axle?
