And i had accumulated a bunch of $$ credit on my amazon account through different returns so figured i would give this a shot.

Prize for being the 1000 poster? Sure and your prize is a government retirement subject to recall in the event of a national emergency

Decided to change up the wheels a little bit similar to what I had done on the Trekker

I scored some rigid ignite LED’s cheap awhile ago. Decided to use a set of the flush mounts as signals since the trail gear LED’s work but are kind of anemic and hard to see with the head lights ons
they are 10w each so they don’t overload the flasher .
I used part of the amber lens from an old busted fog light

Had an hour or so today to play with so did some miscellaneous crap
so I keep going back and forth about roof mounted lights due to the glare on the hood
I scored a great but cheap 4wd king light bar off amazon that had been returned And in good condition for about half of retail
it turned out it was missing a couple of bolts and had some dings
gave it a quick paint job, cut the mounts down a little so it sat flush with the front crossbar

i bought a few pair of some knock off Baja Designs S2’s a couple of years ago.
for what I paid they work great for miscellaneous lights
Painted them desert sand and added a set of S2 amber covers
to use as rear chase lights

when I added the Baja Designs S1’s to the mirror mounts I didn’t realize when pulling the mirrors in I wouldn’t be able to put the mirror back .
found some nylon spacers to move the mount out, works like a charm.

If you were an Officer, or "Zero", as we called them , yup, you're in forever. If you were enlisted, like us grunts , once you've done 8 years, you're out. They can't call us back unless they call up, read "draft", ALL the able bodied men between 18 and 50, I think it was, first.
Especially us more....mature, individuals. Unless, of course, we have specialized knowledge that they NEED. Nuclear engineers for the boats, subs, and so forth. Like that.
Although Special Forces types may well be needed to train up another generation of troops. Maybe.

Having said all that, I took an oath every time I enlisted/re-enlisted, and that oath never expires. I am still bound by it. If they need me, I'm there. I doubt they will, but if they do...

Just me, though.

Tatum asked about working on the 4Runner a few days ago so he helped me flip a lens around on one of the rear dust lights

and reaffirmed one of the only advantages that to owning a 2nd gen is that the tailgate gives you a great place to stand

been looking for a donor transmission for awhile.
Finally found one that wasn’t gonna be an 800 mile round trip, this one was 15 minutes away.
Got to see the 94,it came out of, 162k on the clocks

put it on a diet this morning, it lost about 100 lbs of gears etc
only need a 30mm, 14mm, 12mm and 8 mm sockets and 6 pairs of gloves

got to torn down to the basic parts I think I will need to fix the other transmission or it may head back down to the shop that helped to sorta finish what I started. He offered to help with out charging if I helped him.

I would keep working on it this afternoon by we are adopting this little guy tomorrow afternoon. Luke is a husky Shepard mix that was picked up when he and a few other pups were abandoned when An illegal pot grow in Northern California was raided

Luke is fitting in seamlessly with our family. Kenai is especially happy to have a playmate

and since I have a thing for lights.
added a set of side facing floods and I really liked having some rear facing floods on the Trekker that were wired into the back up lights I did the same thing

they are very useful. I have been doing similar installs back to my Baja Bug days in the 80’s.
I was trying to come up with a place to mount them on the 94 and ended up with this spot after placing around with a magnetic mount.

More backup lights eh? So there IS a Reverse gear working now.? j/k

I wired in some lights (that I mounted on a rear deflector I added), that should work in R or when I flip a switch. Actually DPDT, normal Reverse lights, no lights, or On/Off with another rear switch.

I probably got the idea from you, years ago. Just kidding on the Reverse Now. My tranny isn't even in. Good trade this week tho; I went to go watch grandkids for a few days.

Gotta get that build thread going someday.
