Since my knee isn’t cooperating enough to let me actually do much I took a minute to unbox the custom BudBuilt skid plate I picked up from Northwest Toys yesterday morning.
thing is looooong should protect the auto transmission and duals nicely

Ha! Logan....

That's quite the skid plate, interested in seeing how it looks on the truck.

Habanero - i have to admit he gave me a giggle.
Hopefully soon i will get it painted and mounted. I am wondering if I may have to had some form of mount/crossbar closer to the front. This thing is long.
and just realized the sheet of plywood behind it is 4x4' so it's at least 4' long..yep gonna need another mount

thats HUGE. do you have any idea how much the auto and duals weigh? Id definitely be looking at making sure i had a second mount in there. if anything, jsut tto hold the back up and keep it from flexing.

I weighed everything I gutted from the auto t/c and it was with in a couple of pounds of the set of dual cases.
The skid plate weigh about 40 pounds. Definitely thinking about a crossmember up front

It's fun to make fun of because it's really looooong- just like it has to be. They did an excellent job of making it cover what needs covering without making it weigh 80# and it will make an excellent bookshelf.

I can't imagine stuffing that much transes in there, pics will be neat to see.

I was talking about the skids. I'm sure it'll give you the protection you're looking for. You've got a long line of parts you don't want banged around. How long is your rear driveshaft now?
