Done with the front

Just have to make sliders and rear bumper, then off to the powder coater.

Well, need new (thicker) torsion bars, mine are maxed out, and I'm BACK to my origional ride height. Ugh. Definitely needs fiberglass fenders too...This is starting to get expensive!

Thats the thing... I don't know who I should go with for bars. I've found some for $230 a pop, and some for $200 for the pair. I'm trying to keep my wife SOMEWHAT sane during this build by keeping it a low buck as possible, so any and all ideas/links will be much appreciated!

Well, finished my sliders today, but only managed to get a picture of the welds for some reason... I'll take more tomorrow. Think I just suprised myself with my TIG skills. It just started flowing right. It felt good!

Cut 109" of 1 3/4 DOM for the rear bumper startup today. Got the main bends in, just have to finish up an autocad drawing for the mount to the frame, then she'll really come along. Yay!

Mini update. Finished sliders, @ home getting the low dollar, no scratch resistance rattle can paint job Also started the rear bumper after boxing in the last few inches of frame. Made mounts to bolt to the frame outta 3/8" plate. So that's where we stand as of now. Like to give props to Teuf for hooking me up with his paper-weight torsion bars to level out my front end! Soon as those get put on, I'll do some b4/after shots.

So I was prepping my truck to put on the torsion bars Teuf sent me, and while I was loosening the passenger side torsion bar adjusting nut/bolt, it started getting snug, then "Ping"! Well,at least the new hardware will be in early tomorrow am, and it's not $146 like I was worried it would be!

Sweet. Yeah, I deployed with HMM 166 on my last deployment on a MEU. Aren't the sea elk in the same hangar as 163? It's been so long I forget yall's squadron name...

We are the Evil Eyes/Ridge Runners.

We use to be in the same hangar as 166 and 165, but we moved to a new hangar even farther down the flightline road. Now its us and 161 in that hangar. Hangar 7. Newest in the Corps.
