Looks good! Are you going to paint the tank?
#7743
Thanx man! Again, you keeping me company through this, with the occasional SAVE, lol... It's muchhhhh appreciated! And, .....I CAN'T EITHER! Lol. ..
Blue Giraffe? Hmmmmmm, I like it.... But no, I will not be making balloon animals. Lol.... ok, mayyyyyyybe!
Yeah, not sure where the local one is near me, but I will definitely write that down/look them up, thank you.
Raising one eyebrow and tapping fingers on desk at this slander against me!...... Offendeee! Offendeee! .......Wait, how did you know that I dressed up like a clown in my spare time? Bahhhhahaha! ..... Hey, you, .....wanna pinch my red nose? Lol.....NO BALOONS FOR YOU, LIL GROMMET! Hehe
Thanks bud! Nooooooo! I like it brushed aluminum. While I think it might look pretty good black, its just too much of a pain in the bumpkiss, lol. If it was steel, surely I would have a powder-coated... But even then that wouldn't help me much as far as the inside of the tank...... That's why I went for a women... And damn I wasn't kidding when I said this thing is so white. It needs to be when you feel the weight of this damn compressor. Its at least 25 pounds or something like that! Lol. I was going to get the steel colored compressor, what the deal was about $50 less if you just go with the black one which they stock the most of....
I'm about to do a write up, I'll keep it as brief as possible... Its not done, I've run into every little thing that you could possibly imagine... But most of them R squared away now...... Next post...

Almost there with the on board air......
As you can probably guess, I got pulled away several times today and I also ran into another couple problems... For one time, when I opened up the gauge kit, I quickly realized that the pressure sensor for the gauge is in 1/8 NPT... Exactly, none of the fittings on the tank are so... So I did a little shopping around and found an adapter fitting at Lowes. However, the gauge is proving to be a bit of a pain as far as where I can mount it, even though its small... I just don't really have any convenient location to carve out the dash, and I may change gears someday with that, so I don't think I want to do it that way...
Getting that 20 something pound compressor up there proved to be quite a bit of work as well... But here's how it sits at this point, and I ran for gage from the battery to the relay, 8 gauge from the relay to the pressure switch and still have to run the pressure switch to a switch I have already......
I didn't want to wait on that side but I really don't have a lot of options at this point, however, I will be able to change that in the near future was a bracket idea that I have ...
I am trying desperately to get at least this wrapped up before the weekend and I'm really wanting you badly to go to Pismo, even if just to meet Toyo & a couple other people..... Get some good pictures and just hang out on the beach. It should be fun , but everytime I go away it takes a lot of work to try and get out of work...
Not to be a complainer, but that was an absolutely brutal day! Ouwie! Lol.....

I am glad you posted teh info on the batterys. Aloto fo quality has gone down hill lately. You are getting alot done. I know you got the birch panels, and making some indiscreet vents should be easy, and there is alot of unused space there and with some fans I would still keep that space in mind.

Cool! Is the whole system waterproof because it's underneath the car?

His compressor is water proof. Most compressors are nowadays and mark has a remote air filter so I bet he could run his compressor under water
That is nuts your getting 200 psi. You also need to let people know it was a 5gallon tank to 200 psi in under 6 mins.
My puma stops around 105-125. I'm wonder if I could swap my pressure switch to get like 150 psi. Any higher I would be scared.
My work shop air is only around 145psi so seeing your 200 is crazy!!

Hey YotatecHermanos y Hermanas! Lol.....
Got back from Pismo last night, ....... GREAT TIME! ..... I'm going to do a decent right up, with a few pictures and so forth... And I'm also waiting on pictures from some other friends of ToyoTech... Well, some were friends and some work just acquaintances from Central Cal, where he's out of.
Toyo,.... I can't say enough about how much a pleasure it was to meet you and all of your buddies from Toyota! You and all of your buddies were very gracious and I was very grateful for not having to cook a thing! Lol... I do enjoy it and look forward to doing it next year, but as I told you, I ended up having to work that morning, so the day didn't start out putting a big smile on my face... And obviously, I got a bug to just get the hell out of there , as I wanted to not keep anyone waiting.
Anyhow, I will be loading up some pictures from two different cameras and my phone, along with a lot of videos, but I just have to look at all of them on a big screen to tell which were the or not. I didn't get as many shots as I would have liked, and it was really hard to take video because we were hauling ass sometimes and it was always quite bumpy , at least too bumpy to keep my camera wedge on the windshield and so forth... But I did get some good ones, nonetheless!

Sounds like a good ride.
It's looking more and more likely I will be down your way in late October early November.
Hopefully I can join in on some fun.

Just watched your compressor video. Dude that is sick! so how many of your 35" tires can you fill up with the tank at 201psi? Also If you know that you are going to air up but you are still on the trail, can you turn the compressor back on while you finish the drive onto the pavement so you can have the compressor ready to fill the tires? thats an awesome mod. only thing i would do different is get one of those loud fire engine horns to scare the crap out of people when they are driving retardedly slow in front of me. haha

Hey guys, Toyo especially, I really am sorry that I haven't got these pictures posted yet. I had a little trouble will the computer freeze up and then I been on the run around just non stop since I woke up at 5 this morning. Been a pretty brutal day and I'm in absolute agony at the moment... I will share later, but its just something I've been dealing with for a while with fasciitis and tendonitis. I literally had to walk back to my truck towards the end of the day and just head home in the middle shopping for work tomorrow... I literally could barely walk at that point, the pain was so bad . To be honest, I'm in trouble if I don't get this for pain in order.
But I am definitely looking forward to getting this post done and sharing the trip. I just need to get a good night's sleep and I am definitely not going to exert myself tomorrow. And I have nothing to do until around 6 o'clock, so I'm just going to chill out and try and post up the pics and video.

I disappear for a while...and it seems you hit the Toyota lottery Chef.
You might as well edit this thread and turn it into a 1st gen bible and publish it.
Gonna take weeks to catch up on you again.
Jeez.

Pismo-UltateYota-Jamboree/2013.....
***************************************
Let me start by saying a huge thank you to Toyo! It was very nice of you to include me in your group, & I have to say thank you to all of them as well, they were a lot of fun and very welcoming! I also was very appreciative of the food, and its very nice to not have to cook occasionally!
***************************************
I was all packed up and heading out at 5:30am, when suddenly I got a call,..."Mark, I'm so sorry, but we have some guests coming in from Hungary.... The shuttle will drop them off at 7am.... We need you to cook breakfast." One of them is sick, so I can expect them to go out, but I figured maybe they could have ordered something? Oh well, that's not how it works, and when you have someone you want to share that with your guests. I get it....
So instead I ended up leaving, finally, at 9 a.m.... Heading up the coast in the rain on me a bit what's the forecast looks okay, just a bit misty and overcast for the day... Just a beautiful day though!....
It was pretty trippy, because within 5 miles it went back to this.....
Then as I pulled in the event, that went back to clear skies. But; Right at the gate, I pulled off to get a flag and whip..... Right there, an extremely hot CHP officer had pulled over an acquaintance of ToyoTech(and member of Yotatech), actually a member of green camp, which is Mak92, MKtaco and many others... As the CHP-Bunny went back to her car to look up his information, I asked him what was up, and he said she was giving him a ticket for no mud flaps and blacked out tint... I quickly pulled backwards, into a parking spot at that last shop on the right.... In the time it took me to air down and go in and get the flag, she pulled over three more people! All of them for mud flaps. Finally, I just broke down and asked her, "What should I do? I took them off and they're already buried in there, I really don't want to dig them out, and I'm right at the gate.... She said, & I quote, "Well hon,... at least just wait for me to drive off....Show me that respect?".... ....Eye-roll or not, I did just that! Hahaha.
I pulled in and headed down the beach to camp... Well, I was looking for it, anyway...lol...
I couldn't find the Ultimate Yota Jamboree sign, but I did find the All Pro canopy/camp, so I started snapping a few shots....
This is from up by the restroom, a bit up from the camp... This group got much larger and the cars and trucks when I'm like this for 2.75 miles! .....
AllPro is how I found my place to wait on Toya & Gang....
Few more around Camp....
Buddy of Toyo & Friends Showing up.... Sal, and he had a SICK 3rd Gen PU!.....So clean!!! ....
And plenty more....
Toyotech and his group had already been there for a while, and they did make it just in time for the Ultimate Yota Group Photo.....
Toyotech and Crew did a lil Post-Group Pix-Frenzy Wheeling, lol....
As they got back from the Group Shot and some Dunes Fun.... A guy had set up a demo of the Pull-Pal in the center of the campground for the Jamboree....
Here is that SICK f&r linked 2nd gen that got pulled over and ticketed. He was with the "Green Camp"....
Toyota and most of his buddies came back, so I lined up with them to set up camp. Notice Nate of Blazeland doing a flex shot! Hahaha...

The Majority of the group had already been out a while, getting those Ultimate Yota Official Event Line Up Shots/Doing some wheeling thereafter....They needed a little click or two to deal with some other stuff, so I followed Nate and his buddy Albert to see how he tore it up on the whoops, sporting some of his new prototype gear that he's been working on...
Nate(BlazeN8) hauled ass across the whoops! His truck did really well, and I'm excited to see what he comes up with in the way of 'New Things' for the market!(But other than the pics you've seen, IT'S HUSH-HUSH! lol.... Seriously, I totally understand, and I would never betray someone's confidence!... Let's just say it's VERY cool/interesting, and I hope it's a winner for him, when finalized!)...... We cruised around for a bit and then, in a very short time, we ran into a group of guys in a crew cab Dodge diesel with a big load of wood in the bed.... STUCK BAD! Lol.....
Nate didn't really want to chance any carnage with the bumper he was sporting, to be able to tie off and try and pull the sucker out... I, on the other hand, had a class 2 rated 4xinnovations bumper...So, I agreed to give it a try, and they got working on digging out the front end so they could properly tie off a huge strap.....
Albert was nice enough to catch this on video... The funny thing is, somehow I got mixed up on my triple stick and I was in for 4hi and still pulled him out!... Gotta love RUBY-R3DRUM! Hehe... ( thanks Albert!)....
They got back to camp in their Dodge, and right next to where we were all set up, he got stuck again! ( sorry, no pictures of that ).....
We all hopped in after a little bit and headed out on a run.....
Lined up and ready to go... Just waiting for somebody to take off first! Lol...
Headed back out with Toyo and most of the group.... AWESOME wide open fun! Hadn't been in over a decade, and I wasn't driving that time. Other times I did drive, it was just to surf and camp....
We wheeled around and had a blast! .....
Albert HAULING arse! .....
BlazeN8/Blazeland Founder, getting his air on...
Nate's buddy, Albert, hitting the same bowl lip....
Some Videos, throughout the day....(Sorry, my P&Shoot was not cooperating, so I had trouble using my Note2 and holding steady. Was quite bumpy, but I did my best, lol)....

Couple shots grabbed before we headed back to camp for dinner.... 2nd Gen getting Air(it's on video/screen shots>>>) As we were Jumping and stuff, end of the day, this sun was TOTALLY BLINDING toward the top of the hill........
We headed back, where Toyo's buddies cooked up some grub(Thanks again, guys! everything hit the spot, and I'm very grateful!)......
Toyotech and his lovely Ladies' Pups, ready for some night wheeling! ....
I grabbed a couple shots(wish I'd gotten more, but we were having so much fun shooting the bull! haha), just before night hit full on....
Before we lined up, got a shot of the Camps nightlife getting started....
Lined up and ready for night wheeling! .....
Grabbed a couple shots of Toyotech's Rock Lights.... The brightness is more in the middle, but I like how the longer-open exposure caught it with the Canon-DSLR.... lol....
Heading out.....
It was SOOOO foggy, as you'll see in the videos, that it was hard to see, at times, more than 20ft. in front of us(makes it a lil hairy when heading up a hill in the pitch black).... Sorry for blinding anyone with the lightbar... Just wanted to help light it up. Was hard to avoid without taking the lead... and, well, I didn't feel good about being responsible for the direction we took.... It'd been too long since I'd been out there, and getting stuck at night SUCKS! haha...
LOVED these couple shots.... (I have more of them, but there's not really any dimension to them, so I'll just post them in a different post).....
Videos; MANY laughs that night.... Was a great time, very glad we decided to head into the fog! .....
One of the guys with this group of quads was SOOOOOOO drunk! He kept saying, "C'MONNNNN, nobody wants to race me???".... hahaha.... His lil blonde GF was even more hammered.... egging him on. He was harmless, thankfully, just their groups "Oh myyyyyyy he's smashed" for the evening! lol...
So we headed back to camp for a lil more grub and fireside discussion of the day...
What a FANTOYTASTICAL DAY! haha... Seriously, I had a great time... But, ...time to crash. As I did, I noticed that the guy two over from me, a buddy(I believe) of the Ultimate Yota Founder, along with the Ultimate Yota Founder were doing some late night repairs/radiator replacement... Still working at 1:30 AM! (BTW, the TLC owner, who'd endo'd earlier and took out his radiator? He drove from Pismo, where we were, to GARDEN GROVE, to get a replacement radiator![around 4 hours drive each way!!! .... NOW THAT is commitment to quality right there!) I felt bad, but they had 3 on it already, so I hit the sack....
Got up the next morning from my well insulated 4Runner/Porta-Condo, lol... , and was well rested and very grateful for an excellent breakfast, Pancakes, Eggs, Chorizo, Tortillas.... Just RIGHT ON TIME! Thanks again, guys!
We did some wheeling, but I was mostly doing some high speed stuff and donuts, haha... So I didn't really worry about pics/video... Just enjoyed it.
I believe Toyotech got this shot of that day, when Zach(Blue T100) was with us.... (Zach made it into a couple videos I believe, as well...
We did come up on a hill and a 4th Gen got high centered.....
5 of us gave him a shove and he got right out! ....
Right about then, an older gentleman rolled up with a nasty cut on his hand.... The Yota-ER-Field Op's grabbed their Emergency Kits and bandaged him right up!....
Nacho gave him a ride back, while a buddy of Kurt rode his quad back for him....
Shortly after, we headed back to camp and broke everything down.... Then we got some "Last Chance" photo Op's in by the Sea.....
First, I had to air up, before we took those pics and then headed up the coast... We were leaving the gate and heading right for a restaurant a couple miles away.... Air up! .....
Last Photo-Op's! ......
Sadly, ..... ....it was time to head out.......
We had a decent Lunch at Brad's Seafood, then parted ways and headed home. Nacho had to stop for an alternator after they limped to an acceptable town to purchase a spare GM Alt...
I headed the other direction, 101 South.... And DANNNNNNGIT if it wasn't 40 Minutes into the drive.... I hit a bottleneck portion of it, around Carpenteria State Beach..... 15 MILES=1 HOUR & 45 MINUTES! Grrrrrr! HAHAHA.... Oh well, at least I was in my comfy Yota with good sounds, reliable lil motor, and all after taking quite a beating all weekend! ..... Gotta love it....
Thanks for checking in, guys, and please forgive the delay... Just dealing with some personal physical drama at the moment... Which makes everything take 3 times as long! haha....
I know Yotatech is somewhat flat now, and for quite a while it's been somewhat slow.... I still can't keep up with any more sites... SO, I'll stick with it. I tell everyone, everywhere I go, "CHECK IT OUT, drop me a message on there, I or SOMEONE will be glad to help!".... I think this site and it's members have MORE than saved my arse a few times.... So, while I might not be exclusive to Yotatech forever, lol(not a marriage or anything, hehe).... I do appreciate the site and all of the homies I've met on here.
Toyotech, GREAT time, and hopefully, you could meet up in the Hot Springs Areas in the Sierras this coming winter?
Later Taters!
Chef
PS> Whatever links or whatnot are fuggled, ....I'll fix it all later. I haven't used my PC in so long to do this, but I really needed to this time. Editing will surely come, but for now, I'M 2 DAYS BEHIND ON WORK.... So I'll get to it later!!! hahaha.

PS> Whatever links or whatnot are fuggled, ....I'll fix it all later. I haven't used my PC in so long to do this, but I really needed to this time. Editing will surely come, but for now, I'M 2 DAYS BEHIND ON WORK.... So I'll get to it later!!! hahaha.
