Spent a half hour on the phone with DCH Toyota.....

I'm trying to get a part exchanged that was given to me even though it's updated from 89428–28030 to 89428–26020.... They gave me the first number which is the one that's supposed to get replaced. I'm not sure why they would even have those in stock I'll get them shipped to them without finding out but there is at least A bulletin.

They have NEVER been able to find my VIN# in the "Toyoya Database" since 2004 or so. I think they deleted it. ....making room for new info?

I also told them the PO was a Toyota ASE...... Why wasn't my CSI Time switch ever changed? Etc... Service and Parts managers will call me on monday.
I'm pretty good friends with the foreman, so hopefully they will give me another 1 or 2! Lol.

If the switch is working, perhaps your actual cold start injector itself is leaky. There is a test in the FSM that specifies how many drips is allowed when off.

Thanks a bunch for the Toyota Service Bulletin postings, guys! Even if it doesn't resolve my idle down thing... Its still an excellent thing to rule things out right? Hopefully I can get Toyota pay for the replacement parts or at least one of them since they sold me the wrong one... We'll see.

Thanks, Will!

I'm back home around 2:30pm, so I plan to head to PYP and search out a couple sensors and a 160A Fusible link fuse (its a 130A alternator...would 140A+ be good?) .....

Then do some research on how to upgrade the power wire to the new Alternator and get down in my head the complete job of adding in the headlight wiring upgrade kit that came yesterday.

I will also look more into setting up my rock lights, OBA and Offroad lights(I have to figure out how to mount the shove facing lights. .. Maybe some brackets/or might do a platform base for the best weight distribution.)

I have an in on some CSI & TTTS sensors on YT... Just want to try and save some money. Was $90 for the 2 of them from seller.... Still half what I would pay for brand new. .. but still a lil much if I can find en in the large yards I have near by.)

Great videos Mark.. I agree that short haircut really suits her... abbs reminds me of a little girl I see on the bus 'most every morning the past few weeks... always says bye! and waves when she gets off very cute... do they know you share those videos with us?

Upgrading the power wire is relatively easy... you need to remove the old one anyway so while you pull the old one out just note the route it takes to the main fuse block and so on... for size I would go with 2awg welding wire this is about the biggest you can get and the welding wire will have the finest strands and thus be the most flexible. You can usually find the wire at a welding supply store... but if not then a good alternate is the #2awg wire found in "Professional Grade" jumper cables [the kind that come as 2 completely separate cables] it's pretty much the same thing you'll just end up with about twice as much cable as you need but you can use black cable to rewire the neg. side of the system. The only hard part might be them actual special ring connector used at the alternator [if this one still needs it] they are usually sized for much smaller wire.

Hey Paul! How are ya man?

Yeah, she's quite the lil Character! Sooooo cute, her lil personality......

I'm a lil lacking on the full routing and such in regards to the wiring on this one, the alternator.

I thought the wiring was routed to the fusible link box where the 80A fuse was.....but was told to run wire right to the battery and leave the 80A on there with a different connector... Least thats what I thought I was told. Obviously I will make certain I do it all right....and obviously I'm not certain just yet which way that shall be. Hahaha.

Thanks Avi!

That's what I did (with inline fuse), according to what I read and maybe Ray also? Let me know if you find out that's wrong or not the best way of doing it!

Today, I finally installed my 2nd Gen Pickup Rear View Mirror/dome light mod.... "DAYLIGHT UP IN DAYAH!" Haha. ..

Some videos of that and other random queries......

Couple pix. ...

And a video I did of some other stuff, before I started on the Rear View Dome Light Mod (Old School Style, 2ng Gen PU, .... with a BIG Thanx to TEUF, for sending me the lens for it! ).....

I LOVE IT! Little time consuming,... but pretty straightforward... If you just follow the things I pointed out in the videos you could add one in with ease as, long as you have the connector at the mirror. In other words, make sure you ask for the connector if you get that mirror with the light in it.

I hope everybody is doing well! I'm exhausted... Time for some Z's

HAHAHA, I'm not sure you confused me, I'm just wanting to make sure I can lay out a diagram of my own of everything I'll do, where it goes and how EXACTLY I do this super clean and solid! .... I have the page marked in my book to go over it again.

why is your RPM only at 1000 during cold start up.
usually it should be around 1500
im wonder if its connected but how is your IACV (idle air control valve) can try cleaning it out, usually gets gunked up with carbon

Thanks buddy, and I think you're Tennessee draw is great! You are an articulate person, Jason, and your voice is fine... but I understand, as most people don't like the sound of their own recorded voice.

Haha.... I am used to it now.... But earlier I didn't like it. Just my singing voice was ok cuz I sang professionally for a bit...but speaking, it's weird because for most people when they hear their own voice it doesn't sound like them at all... To them. Lol. It throws us off so to speak.

I like doing them for me and so that one day my grandkids can laugh and such about grampa, lol. Helps me to refresh on things.....and mostly I just hope it helps someone cuz they're mostly things I'm enjoying.

New OEM IACV...... it did idle up to 1200 originally, but it's more like this 1100 now. I think the 85-87 22RE's were 1100-1200, from what I remember reading..... 88-89 around 1400 and higher idle RPM setting at warm of 800rpm..... 90+ 1400.....but never heard 1500 on any of them.... you're tge Toyota-tech... . Could you find out for me PLEEEEEASE? Lol........

I like the lights, and I'm awaiting your alt install so I can see the diagrams for when I do it! With all my overtime, I just might catch up to you in mods, if I count the Runner and the Subie mods together.
