Its a Brazilian steak house where they constantly come by with freshly flame roasted skewers of meats, like :Swordfish, baby back ribs, chimichuri/lemon pepper/garlic sirloin cubes/chicken/lamb.... endless and all you can eat. ........ amd then?... these beautiful ladies come out.........

Sounds like Australia. I suffered getting used to that heat working the mines over there.

But for now, it will definitely hold up if hit from behind being bolted.

Good plan, mine was just bolted on by the PO. I bent it up, not sure from getting unstuck or dropping off a ledge?

I like how tight that looks to the tailgate.. I have a TG one and I think it sticks out way to far.

4xInovations right? Just had a look through their website. I like the look of that xfer case crossmember.

I LOVE the roll cages.

The idea of added safety appeals to me. I do have concerns over the loss of headroom where the frame legs drop down where the seat belt is. Steel doesn't give so your head would hit it during a rollover or broadside collision. I'm not sure how much padding would help you.

paint prep is easy

sand so primer has tooth to hold on

clean degrease wipe down with acetone dont use paint thinner as thats petroleum biased an leaves a film degrease with alchahol or as i do mean green degreaser dont handle it after that point

prime (thin) let dry sand lightly with a high number sand paper shoot second coat of primer (thin) 2 thin coats are better than one heavy

paint: tack coat first a light misting of the paint over it all give it a bit to tack up then first good coat let dry a bit hit with second coat

its the cleaning step that will make or break a paint job

Yep, 4xi. I'm doing the tcase crossmember and dual cases eventually... and bombproof mount from scotty/whomever. I like the cages, but I'm not ready for all that, lol. We'll see once I step up the powerhouse.

Lol..... Almost always been good with paint.... but on occasion the humidity or something odd really screws me up! Hahaha..... But along with all Dragon said, all of which I do, most often along with tackcloth, .....its largely keeping the 12" distance(6" if dealing with this pipe or other rounded things)...but either way, sticking with a smooth and quick motion.. And never stopping on hard turns and such (This is why I plan the entire process out and never stop until the second coat is done.) After 2 coats within 30 min of each other... I wait a week and then do another 2. A wheel needs to be laid flat, clean as possible and just roll in a circular motion from the outside in and then out again. Best if u can spin it while painting, but not everyone is set up for that. Lol

I only puked my guts out with heat stress a few times.

I too am glad I am free of it. Now to just be free of digging holes entirely. No more 280 working hour months.

Well...... VERY happy how it turned out and very glad I chose Hammered Black. .. I really like it!

ADAMS BUMPER FIT SNUG AND RIGHT ON THE MONEY! Thank you Adam and 4xinnovations.com !!!

Whatcha all think?

First, got to pulling what is now Terrys87's mint, nearly brand new, QUALITY, OE bumper and pieces. .....

Got the trailer wiring cleaned up and tucked to prepare for eventual mounting (and that will be another update later on)...

Some trimming....

Size: 3.45 MB

Carefully jacked it up into place after a few up and downs... (had it balanced but just behind the jack dish so it would tilt back, preventing me from needing to pull the gate... The guiding into the frame rails is a lil tricky, but after a few tries you'll get it lined up! .....).......

I ended up using grade 8 - 7/16ths bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts.... I used a flat washer on both sides and lock washer and nut on one side obviously... I will get good picks of how its mounted and at 75# torque I think it's good till I can get it welded... but I want it welded in a way that will not be impossible to undo.... Because I eventually plan to maybe add a tire carrier and Jerry can split swing out..... We will see on that one as I'm not quite sure yet... As I said, I will get better pictures , tomorrow, of how it is mounted through the frame......

Mark get some good tac's in there that are accessible to a cutting wheel later on if you need to remove it.

Bumper looks great with the sliders on the side. It all matches! Just need a front one too!! If I ever did go tube, that rear bumper would have been my 1st pick!!
