Lol I can take a hint hahaha.
Mark I know you've been itching to get started on this SAS soon. But Ruben saif that he might be busy next weekend. Also said that if he does get time free he'd like us to all go on a 1 day'er offroad trip to hig bear. He's been getting really anxious as he's been watching my truck grow lol. Looks like your sas might be pushed back just a weeee bit. But we'll still get to it. Would you like to come along? I believe he said it would probably be for sunday since that's Chris's day off from work. It'll give you one last chance to say good buy to your IFS.

UPDATE/LATE NIGHT! HAHA...... :
SAS will likely begin in 2 weeks from yesterday.....
However, the plans changed quite a bit as Rubin who will be doing this has agreed to and is actually preferring to take me up on my offer in doing this at my house.... I'm actually very stoked about that because , well, that means I can get started as soon as I can put the truck down. So, it looks like the parts will be available even sooner than I thought. As I said, as time allows, so you never know, but hey buddy this coming down with my axle on Saturday and picking up the Old Man Emu Springs, and possibly even helping me a bit, so I will be knocking quite a bit out hopefully this week and through the weekend, and then hopefully by the time Ruben gets here I will have prepped most everything for him to be able to just slap everything on .
I have another big day tomorrow but I'm not having the easiest time keeping my eyes open... I'm flipping exhausted, to be honest, hahahaha. But I look forward to updating everyone and I will decide very soon if I will be starting a separate thread or not... If I do, it will only be in tandem with this, and like everything else I've done every single post will be on both of the threads.
Take care guys, I know it's been kind of dead here but please bear with me, I'm trying my best to get this going... Goodnight

FIRST OFFICIAL S.A.S. POST:
I am currently only waiting on the front axle I'm going to use and the availability of RUBEN (GOD BLESS THAT TOYOTA LOVING MAN! haha)..... and within hopefully a day, this will be done! .....
***************************************
1st, I'll list the parts I'll be using........sound good?
1.) 83 front axle with Marlin HD knuckle/hub rebuild kit.....
Some things on the 83 axle/changes. ...
A. SKY diff armor.... This is already welded on there:
http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new...duct.php?id=78
B. A front diff Stud Eliminator kit from Marlin.
C. Marlin backing plate eliminator
2.) WABFAB/ front and rear: I.F.S. Eliminator kit and 4" lift front and rear. (With the aforementioned Marlin Crawler heavy duty knuckle and hub rebuild kit with Koyo bearings and such in place of the TG stuff that comes with the kit in the link below/$190)
http://www.wabfab.org/SAS-Kits/View-all-products.html
http://www.wabfab.org/Rear-Lift-Kits...ypage.tpl.html
http://www.marlincrawler.com/axle/fr...le-service-kit
3. 86 TLCruiser SFA freewheel manual locking hubs and full extra set of birfs, inner and outer (85 axle on the way is complete)
******************************************
At some point this week when I hear back from ribbon as to whether he wants the truck in or out of the garage I will be getting removing everything in preparation for him. this way, it will be up on stands, almost everything or everything removed and the parts that have already been reserves will be shipped immediately. As I figure out what Ruben wants to do and get it up on stands from that point on the pictures and video will begin!
However, there is a slight difference in mind from the norm as I will be removing the entire IFS carefully and one piece at a time before cutting off the rest... The reason is because I will have better leverage and such during the removal of the parts that are going to be shipped. I just, plain and simple, need better leverage to get the control arms and much of everything else off.
I'm really glad that I was patient and waited to do this with my plan of finding the best deal... Thanks to Gottadog and Anthony1 and JonnyBoy...... I want up with everything that you see in the pictures including both kids two front axles one of which is complete and area axle from 1980 Toyota with 437 gears in it, all for under $2k !!! Also thanks to Ruben and Richard for speaking to Ruben for me as it doesn't look like he would allow me to pay him... And because of this all I was able to do this at all! I know that gottadog has some other parts available and while people have to decide for themselves on the price of things that are left,.... I can't say enough about his character, .... And Anthony and Johnny as well! They are just exactly the type of people that I like to deal with and actually become friends with!
*****************************************
The following things will also be going on the rig within the month, some of them within the week....
1. Two x this: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrai...n=G%2f235-2041
2.˟ I guess from ZUK's input these are better than trailgear ring and pinions... so I'm getting two sets of these:˟ http://www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrai...%2f22-2041-488
3. 1 SPARTAN LOCKER.... possibly from Summit.....
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/spz-17015.
Anyone know of a better deal?... I just have such great traction with mine and the knowledgable guys tell me they are even more solid than the detroits? 4wheelparts seems to want like˟ 515$ or more for the detroits???˟ Seems high!......
4. SMITTYBUILT syn rope xrc8 comp series winch.... http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-W..._pn=S%2fB98281
I might just put another Spartan in this new to me 437 gear set and throw my 430 with the Spartans in it from the rear into the front and call it a day for now... It all depends on how long I have to wait for the gears and the install from a friend of a friend. It's not too difficult to pull it all out later so I'm not worried about it and then I can just switch my lockers into the new gear sets in the same housings.

Hehe, minor corrections here and there Mark:
The axle is an '83, which I hope doesn't mess you up. Only real difference I can think of is you will need my Sky u bolt flip kit since your TG flip kit has 2 square u bolts to accommodate the longer truss on the bottom of the axle. Trade I guess? Haven't researched which u bolts the TG Tacoma width housings use, but I imagine round, and I don't think the Sky kit would work anyhow. We'll work it out while I'm down there.
Also the diff stud eliminator "kit" is nuts, bolts, and washers from Ace. Cheaper than the TG kit.
Also I've decided you'll get the "Trail Safe" wipers from TG, they're just too much of a pain to get back off the knuckle balls. With that is their rock rings, too, since you don't even have the original flimsy ones that are OEM.
I secretly hope I get a fire and I can't make it so I get to keep the axle...but seriously, can't wait to see the axle finally put to use!
Oh, and I got the ground effect trim put back on the Subie, so it won't look like too much of a jalopy in your driveway.

Lol I was thinking the same. Everybody is SAS'ing lately. Not a bad thing just saying.
Btw Mark. I really hope we're able to get all the parts that need welding welded on next weekend. If you have that axle prepped and frame cleaned you might actually be able to have everything welded on in one day. I might have to bring my pops over so both ruben and my dad can get the welds done 2x as fast. I know Ruben don't really wanna drive all the way to San Pedro because of gas but we don't really have a choice. So I'm hoping they are able to knock out all the welds in one day while you and I go on behind them installing everything and painting everything as they move on to the next parts. Hoping for the best.

Mark, you're building a monster!
I never thought to look for lockers at RockAuto! I'm considering a second Spartan for my truck, so I'll be looking there if I decide to pull the trigger.
You're going with the Addicted Offroad front bumper? (I haven't been able to keep up with the thread) That's great! I really love mine.
A monster, I tell you.

Sweet man you're gonna be locked front and rear now! Wooo wooo wooooo noooice!
Btw Are you planning to have the 4.88's and lockers for both 3rds put together and ready by next weekend? I ask because were gonna need your 3rds to adjust the pinion angle so it points toward the transfercase. This way we can weld on your new spring perches at the correct angle.
