Hahaha... yeah, that's right, Josh, ....sorry. Actually, even right now, I went to type your name, and I first typed 'Joh...' before backspacing and re-doin it! lol.

Anyway, ... YES, GET ON MORE! I need all the input I can get at times, daggnabbit! lol.

Toyo..... I know, I just saw that on the way home today! hahaha. Has tons of features I didn't know. I joined some 'Hypermap' or something like that techie updating thing,....so that every time I plug in it's updated automatically. Also, I can plug it in my PC and save a bunch of addresses and routes in advance, then let "Lori" tell me where to go! lol. I had a mans voice on there, Robert I think, but ...... I just can't have a man telling me where to go, 'and "turn around" and "you've gone too far"... ya know? hahahahaha. Jk, but I like the ladies voice better... it's less infuriating! lol.

Wow Chef.. I was gone for a few days and you got quite a bit done. Great job on getting your door fixed.

GPS are great if you can figure out all of the features. Some of us out here are a little challenged, me..hehe

Man, .....every time I see your ID it reminds me I have to get that LONG wrench for lowering the spare tire in my rig(gotta be able to swap out spare 32's, right?lol)... Maybe clean up the rust a lil, too, ya know? I've NEVER dropped this spare.... but checked it MANY times, lol.(checked the air before trips. But then I really went through my Toyota Tool Bag and NOOOOOOOOO, it's not there! lol.)

Anyone have an extra tool like that they wanna sell/GIVE ME? HAHAHA.(I need the one that goes in the hole in the bumper to drop the spare... The Longer rod. I will get pics of what I DO have so y'all can show me a pic of the piece I need.

Hey Josh, .... sounds great. I will post a pic of my tools that I have in the 'GREEN BAG'.

The Pick-Your-Part rigs I check NEVER ONCE have had that bag in there! lol. The knobs never roll the rear windows down on the 4Runners, either... guess they are playing with us! lol. If I find a clean enough rear window, I'd grab that as well. Mine has a nice scratch(BIG ONE bout 2" wide all the way down from rocks being in the seal one day? lol).

Anyway, thanks, Josh... lemme know, lol.

I had to take the jack and handles out of my flatbed and put in the 4Runner. I cannot find one in a boneyard anywhere. What happens to these things?

I got new tires on my flatbed and would rather me being broke down on the road in stead of the wife and kids. I carry a can of fix a flat. I have even checked Toyota cars and no luck.

I figure one of these days I will get another jack set and might actually get to use my spare. The spare carrier works but not like I could get it down.lol

Haaaaaaaahahahahahah........ Yes, I'm laughing at myself! I DO, INDEED, have the entire set. The longer handle that is needed to use the jack/get the spare down was in there. The plastic pieces that hold it in place outside of the jack/on the chassis molding?>>> One of them is bust(well, the part of the clips that hold the rod are there, but the part where it fixes into the chassis is snapped ).... I'll find one in another rig at the yard..... I would think those would be there, ya know? They just take all the tools, not the hardware.

I have NO CLUE who takes it.... I think it has to be the employees of the yard. It's an easy 50$ or something, I would imagine, ya know?

I still have to take my jack out and clean it all up... It's 100% free of rust, etc., just needs the grease/etc. cleaned off, ya know? lol.

Curious if anyone has input on this..........

It seems to have a great rating, and I've been ALWAYS leaning toward another Pioneer! Ease of use/durability/and now, of course, MORE OPTIONS! lol.

This model has remote and BT and USB and MP3/Ipod jack with Bluetooth function of my phones Media Library.... Basically, everything I want. Best Buy has it for 169$ on sale, but this is 124$ w/free shipping........ Whatcha think?????? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

hello Mark.

was trying to catch-up on some threads around here and I am failing miserably. I have no clue what you are up to...hehehehe. Just hope all is well with you.

A little cliff-notes version wrap-up is in order here.

life is busy as usual and the stupid cold weather is here. But with that cold weather comes more indoors time and time to putz on the computer...yay.

Hello, everyone,

I'm just dropping a quick one here to let everyone know that I'd really appreciate prayer for my Step-Father, Ervin, as he's 84 and about to have open heart surgery. Tomorrow, in fact.

He has Aortic Stenosis and 3 blockages that will most likely need bypasses. He also has an aneurism in one. Mitral(Sp?) valve is also causing some back flow.... but they will likely lessen that regurgitation of blood via the Aortic Valve Replacement and Medication.

Again, just asking for prayer, if you're so inclined, of course.

Thank you,

Mark and Family

PS> My Father is actually just out the hospital after a spell of 214/110 BP.... Not sure why it happened, other than he's just been too inactive. They said his heart looks great, actually.... so they're not sure why he's had such fatigue for so long(bout 3 years).... But bottom line, if he doesn't start to get some exercise that will get his heart rate up every day.... Well, then his heart wont stay health for long.... not to mention the rest of him, ya know? Inactivity is a KILLER! Just hoping, even if he has to be scared straight... that he'll actually get motivated to MOVE!

Thanks again,

Mark and Family!

PSS> I'm just unable to get to any PM's and such right now... Sorry, I have like 10 Unanswered in the last several days. I WILL get back to you all!

I think I've said this before, but your 4Runner is probably the most beautiful 1st gen I have ever seen, glad to see some people still take care of these great machines like they were new off the lot. Would love to see it someday, I'm sure we'll cross paths someday since we live in the same state!

Sending prayers your family's way.

Hello Mark.. I figured there was something wrong as I hadnt seen you on here in awhile. Sorry to hear about what going on with your step dad, hope surgery turns out well.

You are right, idleness will get you in more then just one way. Hopefully your dad will get moving. Maybe you can get him intrested in some kind of hobby.

Got you in my thoughts and prayers.
