EXCELLENT, GROUP HUGS, INDEED! lol. You like it, Ian? I've always thought them pretty unique and wanted one, even on my white runner. I LOVE the Diamond Racks Co. copies, too, .... but 500-600$-Plus to get it done? Hmmm, not so much! lol.
PS> Not sure if I mentioned it...think I did. 'I was going to look at the Yakima one, too... but the guy sold it the very evening that he emailed me back! lol'.
PSS> Most of the torquing down was done in the front 2 mounting tabs..... The rears are snug, to the point that the locking washers flattened, ..but not so tight that I could break the fiberglass gutter.
PSSS> It's on backwards, lol. I have to turn it around, then slide it back another inch or two, .... so then it will be where it's supposed to be sitting. (The guy said, "Sorry, I can't see very well anymore, and I'm in such pain, I can't tell you how I missed this other than spasm distractions!" lol.

she had $175 for a roof rack and lived in her car... ok
anyways i cant find any roof rack with baskets near that price or any at all. when i do, they want $400+ for them.
the Yakima set up with everything including their basket new are 500-700
if i could find a complete set up for less than $200. i'd be happy lol yours looks good and is it on backwards? any side shots

Thanks,
Seems so, ..... I can't complain how that worked out. Nice when it does.
HAHAHA, .. yeah, you know it! Those pills HAVE to be out there, ya know? lol.... Thanks, Jason, that means a lot. Your rig will be one of the sickest when you're done, I know it. You got some sweet plans and you're doing TONS of restore to it, ..... I'm impressed with your patience on it all!
Thanks, man. Far as the rig, best wishes in the hunt! it's half the fun.... ONLY HALF! lol.
Thanks, OC!
Yeah, she couldn't afford another Car, but needed more space for some stuff on top, ya know? It's pretty common, man, all over the US. I cook for and serve the homeless here in L.A. at times.... The demographic from 10 years ago compared to now? HOLY COW, MAN! It blows my mind. I'll get some side shots. But for now, I've taken it off to make it mint as possible, ya know?

Today, I had a HELL of a time with something.
The PO had a CB antenna in the roof, just BARELY behind and to the driver side of the moonroof. He had to cut a hole in the roof and the mounting tab and wiring was all up in the padded roof liner. That took me over an hour to pry it out and pull it out from the inside. Well, I finally got it, and clearly........ I HAD A HOLE IN THE ROOF! lol.(I HAD to get it out to clear the rack... it just can't be there and still get the rack on... So I'd pulled the C-pin out and pushed it down just to get it home, ya know?)
So, then I had to get to Lowe's to find a way to plug it up.... I'll show pics of what I came up with, tomorrow... but I'm pretty pleased, and I checked, and it's sealing, even with the top soakinggggg in water, lol.(raining at 70MPH should be ok, IOW, hahaha).
I used a 1-1/8" OD and 5/8" ID Grommet, along with a 5/8" Plug, to seal up the center hole. It's snug as a bug,..... I got lucky, lol. 2.50$ !!! lol.
Pics asap.

Thank you, Mr. Zombie! lol. I also found this, and I'd REALLY love to have one and re-do the HG, etc., but not sure if the bottom end suffered greatly due to the HG issue. I have had 2 of them, 84 and 85, and they were nearly indestructible lil sleepers,...but a wagon? lol... Would it be worth maybe 500$? >>>

Sounds like he's gone through about 80% of the 'common problem' areas, like brakes, etc., ....but ya never know... As they say in "Zombieland Rules 101; #312; NEVER trust a seller without RECEIPTS!" hahaha.
Then, what HG would it get? And to 90# instead of recommended 78#?(read that 7MGTE's blow them at recom. specs, ...not sure about the 5ME)... My 84 Cressida was a 5MGE, timing BELT, rather than chain... was a pretty easy repair.

Really appreciate you taking the time to answer me, YZ~! So, what would a HG repair(being thorough, fully flushing, etc., intial ATF to remove any H20), etc., run me? Would you do the timing chain while in there? Anything else?
