The only thing im not happy about is not having a toolbox...

Haven't written in a while, Things have been really busy.
Just got offered a job in Tennessee, 60 to 80 hours a week working shut down at the mill. The toyota will be kept, but i plan on buying a bigger truck (Probably a new Z71 if the mill job actually works out)
Im going to probably SAS the yota and regear with 5:29's.

Tomorrow im trading the 34 swampers for a set of 35 12.50 R15 Mud Dawg Radials with 90% tread.
The swampers just shake so bad im tired of it. The guy is putting them on a samari for offroad use. He's paying to change tires and have them balanced, so i wasn't complaining.
I clocked my mileage today, i got 19 miles to the gallon with the new motor transmission and 34's.

I still have the 33's as a fall back plan.

Here in Georgetown, a fella i know, Opened a mud rally and i got talked into taking the yota through it with the swampers.
Crawled through the easy side in 2wd while everyone else was in 4wd hahaha.

Then i went through the bad hole and the water was up to my headlights.
But i crawled through with no problem.

But then i think i got some dirt in the dash pot, because it wasn't retracting like it should.
My idle was staying at about 1800 rpms no matter what.

So i pulled the C-clip out, washer, and spring...adjusted the throttle cable, and my idle is dropping a little faster than normal, but its def drivable until i get a new dashpot (Its either a dealer item, or a ebay item...Cant find it at ANY autoparts store)

Other than that the truck is running good. No complaints.

Even though they are 35's...Im still not satisfied!!! haha.

Everytime i look at them i think "...I could go bigger"

Summit Mud Dawg Radial MT's, 35x12.50R15
No rubbing

And surprisingly, stock gearing does NOT struggle much at all with 35's!

I ran it up to 90 mph and let off, And i was clocking my speed by my tom tom!

But of course it was not windy that day xD

I'd at least go with 4.56's 5.29's would probably be better with something that big. I like the stance with the 35's!

Yeahh im thinking 5.29's would be best if i decide to ever go bigger.
But 5.29's and 35's should match up perfect.

Im loving them bubba! The swampers had a shake that would rattle the teeth out your head.

On the "My Toyota" End? .....Mehhh, not so much, lol. But otherwise, YEAH! lol. S'all good, I'll eventually get it. Just a lil discouraging that I have to most likely tear it down to the block again,.....and heck, might even have to pull the block.

VERY happy for ya, man, honest! Trippy how many Yotatechers are going SAS, lately! Good for you, man!

I'm excited for ya, man, ....and hope the job angle goes well!

BTW, that's one reason I want to just be done with any 'DRAAAMA', lol... Not necessarily so I can do an SAS(Not really necessary for my applications and I have been looking for an 85 Xtra Cab or 4Runner, stock, ya know?)... More so, so I CAN FINISH ALL THE GOODIES I ALREADYYYYY HAVE for it! lol.

Hey, right on, man, ....veryyyyyyy happy it's working out!

BTW, where'd you get the motor again? Sorry, ...I'd look back, but gotta run for a bit. Just curious, what kind of internal parts, etc. I suppose, if it's a TOYOTA motor, ...that would pretty much answer my question, eh? hahahaha.

BEST WISHES, BO, ..... lookin good man!
