Blake. If you plan to SAS I recomend you save up much more then what the kit costs. Lol Youre gonna be spending much much more then $1300. At least I did. It all depends on what you have in hamd already.

I remember when I was like that with all the bad ass trucks I would see here when I first joined YotaTech. I'm glad I didn't copy anyone's truck exactly though. I just did my own thing but I did take certain ideas off other users rigs. I pretty much pieced everything I liked from other trucks and made it into a Frankenstein hybrid of mods I liked lol. Still got some more stuff to do. But I'm glad I went my own route. Definitely feels like more of an accomplishment that way to me.

I totally understand that, and I can never see myself exactly copying someones rig. Its just that his is such a close match to what I see in my head. It really gets me excited about the future of my ol yota.
One of my biggest questions is when I go back the the stock charcoal color, do I color match the top like on blakes, or do I two tone it black across the entire top and the cab....
I really, REALLY dig the look of his, but with black wheels I think two tone would look good too. So many choices. I wish I could photoshop it.

I appreciate it! I went back and forth for ages on what to do with my top. I don't regret it.. but I dig the black tops too. Next on my todo list is an SAS. I've got about half of what I need.

Blake are you gonna go with brand new leaf springs all around when you SAS? I have 3" lift leafs that I had on mine before I upgraded to the 4" all pro ones. I am selling them so let me know if you're interested. Got a friend who might buy an 85 4x4 pickup this weekend so I might sell to him. But I can let ya know once I find out if he buys it or not.

Yea let me know! I currently have the front axle with High steer, hangar, 4" rear springs, rear shackles (keeping my current ones). Looking for front shackles, springs, shocks all around, and time :p

Alright then sounds good. If my friend doesn't buy that 85 truck ill definitely send a message your way. Definitely worth it. Brand new springs are super costly lol I spent $1200 on 4 new ones from All Pro lol. That there was money I could have spent toward both my front and rear bumpers.... any way at least I'm a short drive from you. I live near the 710 & 5 freeways.

Hey Blake I have all the information right here on my classified ad. 2 of the leaf springs are Rancho the other 2 Leafs are Rough Country.

With pix of their condition and what they looked like for the short time I had them installed. So u will see what they look like on a first gen 4runner. I am asking $250 for the set of 4.
By the way the truck my friend was looking at isn't an 85 after all. He sent me a picture and it turned out to be an IFS front end. So they're yours of you're still interested.

I guess I could pull the cable, hang it verticle and tap up the top end with a bottle/funnel with oil in it to let it gravity feed. Maybe I should just try that lol.
