blakefogt's 1987 4Runner Build-Up Thread

Hey chef, I'm sorry for not responding. Using my phones intenet, its easy to lose track of my threads. It was plug and play.
Take off the grill, unscrew 2 or 4 screws.. I can't remember.. and in plug the old lights. The new ones use the same connector, so assuming your headlights are aligned and the connector is in good shape, its a 10 minute job. Had my dad drive in front of me, said its the same brightness or better compare to all the newer cars, so its a huge improvement from before

So about the lights . Am I reading correctly you are just running the lights on the bumper alone ? or both sets ? Also what kind of bumper is that . Thats a very nice looking runner .

Thank you! I'm running the regular headlights at night like normal, I just converted to h4 bulbs. The lights on the bumper are strictly offroad. And that's a trail gear bumper.

Thanks, Blake.... appreciate the info-snack! lol.
I'm sorry if I missed it...... but where, again did you get those? Everytime I see this type of light it seems as if they had to rewire and add those ballasts and such(sorry, maybe capacitors? hahaha).... Anyway, yeah, just curious where ya got the kit? Thanks, man!

Lol that must be your end of the interwebs. They're still on my end.. these are not hids. Just headlights where I can replace just the bulb. Some people rewire to garuntee maximum power, but with the bulbs it came with my truck are safe. And these are roundeyes headlights.

the "RoundEye" are the brand/website where he got the square light housing from. it gives you a clear lens and the ability to just change the bulbs instead of the entire housing. the entire housing with seal bulb cost the same as the bulbs themselves btw

OOH my bad, I thought round eyes was one of the more common names on here, ive seen it come up from time to time. My bad, yea much brighter, and with the potential to be brighter by buying stronger h4s or you can throw in some HIDs if that's your cup of tea. No projector so the output will be garbage if you try hids though.
