alex_mcnair's 1987 pickup build

This is my 1987 pickup that i got in July 2010 from a car lot. It ran great and had nothing wrong with it. It came with a great set of 31x10.50s. Some of the plans i have for it are a new front and rear bumper, new speakers, and hopefully a locker for the rear one day. But this list will certainly grow larger as time goes on... I lost the original picture from when i first got it, but here is what it looks like.

you can see where someone put bondo over the wheelwell then covered it with flat black..

the seat isnt in that great of condition, mainly the driver side

i sprayed the bed with rust resistant paint, but i plan on putting some rhino liner down sometime

the hood had a dent in it which cause the paint to chip away and rust underneath a little. i put a black strip across the front and it looks better than before.

this was my first ever car, which was my trade-in to get my toyota

this is one mof my favorite mods ive done so far, me and a buddy thought of it one afternoon, we used a dremel tool and cut out two 5 1/4" holes in the rear and i bought some new alpine speakers for them.
Driver side:

Pass side:

the spot i cut was plenty deep so the speakers fit in great and still have about 1-2" clearance behind them.
and this is my Kicker 12" that i have strapped into place.

nice 87! how does that kicker fit behind your seat? i have to have the passenger side bench forward and the driver as far back as possible. your box looks a little smaller than mine though. good looking truck though!

hmmm, i think your bench seat might be different than mine, i think you got the sr5 bench in there. but i will definitely take a look at mine because that sounds like a good mod

oh yea! i was happy cause i made it up the hill then whoa! everything in my seat shoots down to the floorboard. the way my neighbor pulled me out to the side, it pulled my bumper and tip of my frame to the side, so now ill have to figure out how to straighten it up without it breaking
