I only have one on there now. I only wanted to put 2 on there because I thought I remember seeing a thread on here about having two relays. It was probably about putting two relays on a circuit if you're installing 4 lights though...

I got my light bar in the mail today! I can't post pictures right now, for some reason. This stupid computer won't let me.
Everything with it is alright, except the bolt holes in the brackets. It comes with 3/8" bolts, but they won't fit through the holes in a couple of the brackets, and even the holes in the light bar. So, I want to either drill them out, or get smaller bolts. I was planning on buying new stainless hardware anyway. The problem is, the next size down, even in metric is too small. 5/16 is too small and an M8 is just a bit larger than a 5/16. I was thinking about going to an M10, but they're about a hair bigger than a 3/8". My dad is going to spray a coat of clear on it to help prevent rust. He's going to spray the whole bar and the brackets. Maybe once the bar is cleared, a 5/16" or M8 won't seem as small. If there was an M9 or a 11/32" bolt, that would be perfect. My main concern is drilling out holes in the light bar. I don't want to drill out paint and then have it rust.
Maybe I'm just overthinking it

The first two pics are the ones I was trying to post last time.
When I un-boxed it
I also painted the brackets for the Hella lights
I wanted to get all of the holes drilled and the light bar mocked up before putting the clear coat on it. So that's what i did this morning. I had to remove the grille in order to drill the rear-most holes. So these pics are with the grille just sitting in the front, not attached.
Taking the grille off also makes it easier to get behind the bumper to attach the nuts for the light bar brackets.
If you noticed the 2nd gen 4Runner in the previous pics, congrats! That's not mine, though. My brothers new girlfriend owns it. Unfortunately, it has some clutch issues they're figuring out.
She says it has a 4" bracket lift on it, but I've crawled around the entire thing and I can guarantee that the front suspension is stock. The rear is definitely lifted though.
It has 35x12.5" MT/Rs on factory 15x7" aluminum rims with what looks like 1.5" or 2" wheel spacers.
I've asked her if I can put her tires on my truck. No luck
The only thing I need to do now is get the stainless hardware and I might get some Krylon Fusion paint and paint the plastic housings of the Hella lights.

Sweet truck! How many inches of lift are on the truck? Also what kind of lift is it?

Awwww yeah!
Thank you!
So the bar is clear-coated and I got the stainless hardware from work yesterday and mounted the bar. I know stainless is not as strong as the Grade 5 that came with it, but in reality, the weak point of the mounting design is the bumper itself. I would think if I ever hit anything, the bumper would smash in before the hardware or light bar ever failed
I don't have the lights wired up yet. I'm still deciding on how I want to do the wiring. I had an inline fuse with the old lights. I wanted to put fuses on the relay and each of the lights and I don't want a bunch of inline fuses everywhere. So I'm leaning towards getting a fuse block. I was looking around and I think I'm going to get this: There are 3 pictured, but they're really only advertising the big one, the 8 fuse block. I figure 3 of the slots will be taken up for the lights, then I'd have 5 open for whatever else I want. Plus, it's made by Hella and they're dirt cheap compared to others I've found.

They will both be on one switch. I'll have the wire coming from the relay to the fuse box. Then connect the one lead on the fuse box to another. Then, both fuses will have the same power going to it. The two outputs will go to each light.
I'll have to sketch up a diagram on paint to better explain. I'm not even sure if my idea is safe or do-able.
I also just ordered the Hella fuse box. So that should get here hopefully by the end of the week.
