That's a good point. The more time it's put in use and the less time on jack stands, the better

I also have a 93 yota with the v6. just bought it last weekened, its lifted 4inches with 33x12.50s. and it has the stock gears. do you know what gears i would need to get for those tires? thanks! Nice yota!

Buch. You need 4.88 gears if you want the correct gering for that size tire. And those can also handle 35's if u ever wanted those too. But he correct gearing for 33 is 4.88 ratio.

I don't think it would rub. I have a friend with a 4-5" lift and it doesn't rub. nd I've read a lot of threads of people fitting that size tire with a 4". Though ice never done it myself. I'll be able to answer that by experience in a few months when I do my SAS and 4" lift. Lol I also plan on using 33's and will eventually go 35's once my 33's are worn out. Buch, do you have a build thread? I dont wanna fill up 93Xtra-cab's thread with chit chat lol dunno of he'd get upset or not.

4.88 is always what's recommended for the 3vze with the 5 spd. I think if I were to go up to a 33" tire, I might swap to a 4.56. I have 32" tires with 4.30 gears now and I would think that 33s with 4.56s would provide roughly the same torque, if that makes any sense. I should have plenty of time to think about it since I have 11,000 miles on the tires I have now and they still look great. So I won't be buying tires anytime soon.
Nah, it's okay

Lol alright then. I just said that cuz you know how some people get lol.
Hey buch and 93xtra what kind of milage are you guys getting with that motor. Just curious I am getting 16.4mpg max on street/freeway mixed. And 14.7mpg minimum when I drive with a lead foot lol and that with my engine rebuild, 31/10.5's on stock 4.10 gears.
Just curious to know what other people are getting with his motor.

Last time I filled up, I calculated 18.5 mpg, 95% highway driving. My worst mileage with the 32" tires was last winter when I was getting 15.5-16 mpg. I'm expecting the same this winter, especially since it's supposed to be a snowy one over here on the east coast. I never actually calculated my mileage when it had the 30" tires on it. The 32s are heavier but you travel further per rotation, so I'd think the mileage was about the same.

Yea Buch, you get about the same as me. Wow 93xtra that is some mad mileage! Mine doesn't even get close to what you get. I'm sure your gearing has a lot to do with it too. Man I would be happy with at least 19 mpg lol what exactly do you use as far as oil/oil additives what kind of gas/additive if any.

Im going to change the oil probably today and im just usuing havolin 10-30. But I like to put that lucas oil fuel stabilizer in my rigs. cleans injectors and all that. it seems to help. when I had my dodge i tried running full syn royal purple but for some reason it used it like crazy

I use Valvoline Max Life 10w-30 synthetic blend with a Purolator Pure One filter. The very first time I changed the oil in it, I added a can of that RESTORE stuff, the 6 cylinder formula. This stuff: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=521211_0_0_ You can get it at any Walmart or auto parts store, not just Autozone. I'm not really sure if it did anything. Since then, I haven't used any additives. For gas, just regular 87 octane. Every 2500-3000 miles I run half a can of seafoam through the brake booster vacuum line and dump the rest into the fuel tank the next time I fill up. That's about it

Oh ok then so u guys use the same stuff I do then. I always use Lucas oil stabilizer and some 10/40 oil(because its was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago. So thats what the mechanic told me to use) and as for my gasoline I only go to 76 and Shell gas stations and fill with 86 gas and once in a while the premium gas. And I use the Ludcas Fuel injection cleaner gas additive ever other fuel up.
I didnt use seafoam but I did, however, use Engine flush this past oil change because it was recommendto clean out the engine 2ce after my rebuild. So I did it at about 700 miles and again about 2400 miles. This truck only has about 3k miles on it now
Edit: I probably just need to lay off the gas pedal some more lol. But I know gearing has a lot to do with it too. And I'm rocking 4.10's normally when o drive I don't push the motor past 70mph. I try to keep my rpms between 3000-3500rpm. Maybe its because of this horrible stop and go Los Angeles traffic to amd from work. Then stop signs/lights. I can see wheret'd take a toll on my gas. Lol

I thought fuel stabilizers were only added to fuels if they were being stored over a long period of time, like adding it to a car that you're storing over the winter or just adding it to a jug of gas just so it doesn't spoil over time.

I guess its not called a stablizer its called fuel treatment. here is a link to it that tells more about it http://www.lucasoil.com/products/dis...catid=2&iid=26
