hmmmm ok, then that does it then ahaha. I wonder why for a while it was idling high then fixed itself. Doubt it was cleaning stuff on the cyls because we had that running for quite a while. haha oh well.

thank-you, thank-you, thank you.
umm...no.
thanks.....it does have a nice growl....not obnoxious at all. this exhaust was new from the cat back when we got it, so it stays. not sure what brand muffler it is though.
and yes, the gas......gas station is like 9 miles away, so we have been adding via the lawn tractor's gas can to get us around.
my math says we've put about 16 miles on it since it was started 2 weeks ago.......mind you this thing has not been inspected since 2008. hoping to get this done real soon, but since I work during the week, I have like 1 opportunity a week to do it .....Joe doesn't want to leave it unattended anywhere, and I don't either.
killed my back yesterday with the broken garage door......of course it's the big door (16 feet) and although lifting it was no big deal, lowering it was awkward and killed my low back.. so with that said, I called in dead today for work....but will go tomorrow unless it starts cramping up again.

I don't think it will pass though. Engine and exhaust is too bright, it might distract other drivers on the road. Should be able to get a hall pass for the mall though. hahahaha

It sounds really, really good. My '89 idles really high at first and the idle drops when it warms up. I haven't followed this thread too faithfully because the deep mechanics make my eyes glaze over. The interior looks really good. So your Joe (I have a 13.5 year old Joe) won't be driving for about a year, right? Are you going to be driving it for now? I was in AutoZone yesterday and they still sell "The Club."

thanks man.
Joe will be 16 this January. "when" he will actually drive this is not known.
put about 25 miles on it today......feels like it wants a 6th gear...or 33's....hehehehehe

lol. I'm not even sure a v6 rad fits into the 4cyl trucks or not. Been wondering the same thing with the fan on them as well. I don't think I remember anyone on here doing it.
I wanna say no as the 4cyl I believe is actually a longer motor then the 3.0. And every time I am down there, I forget to do some measurements.
