Its always nice to have a Brandon in your corner with you. Extra set of eyes, help and someone to help talk the situations over is a big plus.
No check engine light or leaks, you guys did great. Alternator, no biggie, Gasoline.. that could get expensive, lol, but is an easy one.
Glad you didnt get let down, imagine you are still on cloud 9. Enjoyed to seeing you getting it home (alive from P.O.), to tear down, build up and RUNNNS!!!

thanks man.....
you guys have been great.
well.....no good deed goes unpunished.
4 vehicles (wife's 4runner, my truck, joe's 4runner and the Cadillac) and only one works.
went out to move the Cadillac.....found it had drained all it's brake fluid. was warned about a month ago that the solid line in the rear looked terrible and would need replacing.
looks like that happens soon.

some pics from yesterday.
no videos yet. even when i do, they are gonna suck because it was after midnight and out in the driveway.
just like with my motor, the emblem is the last thing installed....after we made sure it started

got gas this morning, came home, threw a gallon in.....took it for a 4 mile ride with the boys and the wife. great time.
runs fantastic!!!
always fun driving that with the top off.
here's a nice pic while it was parked in the driveway
and Mark.....this one is especially for you. But, I think it captures our sentiment right now too.

next up is....well.....nothing.
gonna enjoy today with the rest of the family since Joe and I dissed the wife and my other son all day yesterday.
88 degrees here now, gonna head in the pool soon.
hysterical that we own 4 vehicles and I'm going to have to borrow my mother's car because we only have 1 road-worthy vehicle.....grrrrrrrrr.
hopefully can get the Cadillac fixed this week.
going to have to really move it on my truck replacing the door and fixing the exhaust.

hehehehehe
wife was saying "slow down" when we were driving because she was sitting in back with Jeff and the wind was a-blowin'.
great power......but it's kinda exactly how i remember it. so as far as the headers go, no real gain there and no exhaust note change either. but the benefits of re-plumbing the exhaust to save the heads was worth it.
PS... I "let" Brandon use the BIG torque wrench to 181 since I jabbed him with the "who put this bolt on?....oh, you....so I'll use one hand (my wonky hand) to get the bolt off.
once again, thanks for donating your time and skills to make this a reality man. definitely could not have done it without you

RBX how big of a tire can you go before that interferes with the tail light? That looks like a factory sized tire on there now which appears to be close to the tail light, yes I know the angle makes it worse, however.......

You guys did well. Always a big moment after such an extensive resto.
I know it feels good and I am sure it will last for many years to come.
