When the parts list gets shorter, that is always a good sign. Looking forward to seeing your progress. March just isnt getting here fast enough. This winter is rough on everybody.

thanks Terry.....I'm going to have to re-read this thread to see what I'm missing as far as parts.
besides getting the injectors done, I know I need belts but also the little pieces / parts for the fuel rails (crush washers, nuts and rubber cushioning thingy I needed to break)

Although I worked on that starter, I think you might wanna pick up the contacts and plunger for it. The auto electric place up in Wyoming ??? had them and is where I bought mine.

contacts and plunger. I think you might also be able to get them from the stealership as well as 4crawler. Only thing is that's a different starter than what was in there OEM, it's not a denso unit IIRC. So ordering from the dealer or 4crawler might not be the best thing. IIRC the contacts that were in there was a little funky too. Almost didn't look like the right ones. I would take the starter up to Stackhouse or give it to me and I'll take it up there to see what they say. Can't be more than $20-25 bucks for the contacts and plunger though. I know mine wasn't.

I remember it was green and said "OEM Equivalent" on the side.....would hate for that to be the thing to hold this back from starting. Yeh....I'll get it up to ya.

We just got to remember to put the starter in before putting that side header on. Never thought about the header tube clearance since it wasn't an issue with the old crossover setup.

To me that's what caught my eye more than the contacts, but he's got a good point in changing them since it's already out.

when we get to that part...the passenger's side brake lines have to be moved away a bit and shielded somehow.....gonna see what wrenchinJoe is doing with his. I'm certainly hoping having the headers on when we go to install this thing is easier than doing them after.....whatcha think?

I pulled my starter and threw $25 of new contacts in it, and the solenoid fried, I ended up getting another starter.

Cheaper then amazon and APW, didn't check dealerdirect, though

do yourself a favorr as well, speaking of heat shield. Mock up the header on that side and the starter. See how close the header comes to the starter. You might wanna get a heat shield wrap for the starter.
