Joe did more disassembly today. i kinda like being the bag holder / tool getter.

adjusted the motor on the stand too......was kinda weird how i did it, but i got it straight and secure and it's all good.

probably gonna pressure wash a little tomorrow.

Ok ....Joe and I did some cleaning.....and painting.

soaked in degreaser all day







then it was time to give the block some attention



did a pretty good job just with some spray and the pressure washer





that same close-up again



primer coat



finished with Grabber Green....looks like Kawasaki green to me

Joe wanted to paint the block green. I don't think we will ever get it completely clean enough for paint....unlike the braces and stuff. so the block is getting cleaned, not painted.

just keep at it, you'll get it clean enough for the paint.

Just for your reference, have not seen any with it in the local yards so I doubt your gonna find one around here, but here is a photo of the OEM oil cooler that goes into that spot you were questioning.

I havent been on here in awhile. Glad to see you got the motor out and still making progress. That makes it 10 times easier to work on. As soon as I get around to figuring out the camara thing I would like to start posting pics. You will get there, just hang in there.

thanks Terry.

getting together a list of things we will need to buy.....major and minor (head gaskets....PCV, some nuts, crush washers) and going to start picking off some of that stuff.

hoping to get this done or close to done by winter.
