I agree, I wouldn't run anything bigger then a 35 on ifs my self. I still only plan on 35s with sas anyways. Anything bigger just dosent really look right on these smaller rigs in my opinion.

LOL....

I am getting ready to pull my R150 and put the R151 I just picked up into my zrunner, either that or pull the transfer case off the 151 and mate it to the R150 tranny. Got to love the manuel tranny....

Been a while since the last update. So here it goes. I decided to dump the R151, as it was a basket case and I didn't want to tear the box apart. I separated the cases and parts and pieces were falling out. Sold it and moved on. I decided to install 4.88 Yukon gears into the rear TRD e-locker, did a complete rebuild and even new rear axle bearings. I used the ORS wiring harness. It is a very nice harness. Got it all put back together so I now have a rear e-locker.

I also picked up an FZJ80 front axle. I pulled the high diff e-locker out and am waiting on the gears and such to regear to 4.88's for it as well. Then stuff that into the mini truck axle. I also got the Sky wide axle kit so no need for wheel spacers now either. I also pickup up a new set of Longfield hub gears to convert the IFS hubs to fit the solid axle.

I have also removed the ABS pump that is found up on the passanger side frame rail. This stupid thing leaked and I was tired of dealing with it. So off it went and I am buttoning up the brake lines now.

I also found an SC400 air intake box. I will be removing the cone intake and replacing it with this box so I can run a custom made snorkel here in the future.

I also have been building Toyota bed utility trailers. Getting ready to paint it to match the color of the 4runner.

I have also been moving forward with more custom 1uz parts. I have a very nice jig built to make the motor mounts I used for my rig, also the flywheel, and soon to come cross member. I have started to phase out the parting of rigs, so I can have more time to focus on custom built parts from sliders to motor conversion parts.

I have found another rig that I would like to start building so this very capable rig is going up for sale. The sale will include a very custom built Toyota bed trailer, complete with a dexter axle and a pintle hitch. I will include enough parts to build another complete rig plus some. The sale will include an 84 front axle already trussed with marlin crawler parts, a complete marlin rebuild kit with all the seals, and bearings, a set of bobby long hub gears to run IFS hubs, and an FZJ 80 high pinion diff.

I will post up pics and a link to the sale here soon.

Wow..looking forward to the new build. .
I am halfway tempted to see if you would want to swap wheels and tires..I love the LC wheels..

Anyone who gets this truck is going to get a very capable truck.

Well my first vehicle was an 81 Toyota SR5 long box truck. It was my dads truck and I bought it off him, and I really miss it and want one again. I am looking to do a frame off resto on one.

The other thing I am looking for is an 04 or newer 4runner. The wife is wanting a new car and she is wanting one of those. If I sell this rig then I will buy a first gen and a newer runner for the wife.

The 4th Gen 4Runner is quite nice. I think it's the last version I like the look of.

The new ones are butt ugly and too big. They are as big as the old cruisers without any of the benefits of old Yota toughness.

Good luck on the 12 grand. It's clean looking and has a nice engine swap. You should be able to make a deal around that. Mine was valued at 8G before the LT kit and it's not as pretty as yours nor does it have a nice V8.

Thanks sir, I know I spent a lot more that the 12 grand to make it what it is today.

I agree that the body of the newest gen 4runner is just plain big and boxy. I like the second gen the best, then the 4th gen....

This is gonna sound kinda stupid, but I am still looking at parts for the 4runner. Lol, not sure it is gonna sell anytime soon and I still have it so why not think about it.

Does anybody know anything about this company?
